Daigusto Sphreez
Perhaps not as raunchy as XXX suggests, but triple x seemed like the most natural progression of a singular and double x. Anyway, mass destruction is sometimes an issue for X-Sabers, so I figure this could be handy, while the second effect allows for additional swarming or gottoms abuse. /// Updated version: During either player's turn, when an opponent's Trap Card is activated, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard: negate that card's effect, and if you do, return it to its owner's hand. During your Main Phase: you can pay 500 Life Points; Special Summon this card (from the Graveyard). You must control 2 or more face-up "X-Saber" monsters to activate and resolve either of these effects. You can only activate one effect of "3X-Saber Gigaguro" per turn, and only once per turn. Rate, hate, appreciate. Do what you will.
Toffee.
So..... It's a card that's designed to let you do the Gottoms loop more effectively, and also prevent the opponent from using stuff like Bottomless on you?
Daigusto Sphreez
So..... It's a card that's designed to let you do the Gottoms loop more effectively, and also prevent the opponent from using stuff like Bottomless on you? Depending on the field, bottomless could probably still hit, if you're going boggart knight into something else bottomless would hit before the second card gets onto the field. If you've already got something on the field then things get trickier for your opponent of course. The special summon effect gives it too much utility to be fair, I was just attempting to make X-Sabers relevant again. Although I think the trap negation is balanced enough, it returns the trap to the hand so it can be used again (unless it is removed by gottoms), which is no worse than say, Rose Archer. It's just like a faster more situational 1-time trap-stun. (multiple traps can still destroy the play) Do you think both effects are broken or just the combination of...? Toffee.
....For some reason I missed the "2 or more" part for the first effect as well.Although, with that in mind:During either player's turn, when an opponent's Trap Card is activated, if you control 2 or more face-up "X-Saber" monsters: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; negate that card's effect, and if you do, return it to your opponent's hand. You can pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. You must control 2 or more face-up "X-Saber" monsters to activate and resolve either of these effects. The first part seems weird(worded wise, I mean), and you can basically combine both effects if you add a clause at the end that applies to both. Or something like that.
Daigusto Sphreez
I used Rose Archer for OCG guidance, since it's effect is similar. However my OCG is rusty and that card's translation may be incorrect since it's not out in TCG at the moment. So I'm guessing your correction is the right wording. I'll tweak it accordingly, thanks. Airride
You could just make it an "MX-Saber" like the Xyz. Triple X is...weird, and clunky. And, you know...not really appropriate for a card handled by kids. I would restrict the second effect to Once per turn. It seems too abusable as it is with Gottoms, Synchro Chaining, and whatnot. The first effect feels a little too powerful (Though it's probably me), but it all works well enough. It looks solid aside from the OPT thing. There is a reason why Invoker is the only MX out there. It stands for Missing X-Saber, and Invoker was Souza before he went missing. In the lore. at first they were X-Sabers, who fought alone. They were not able to defeat the worms while fighting alone though, so they start fighting together, hence XX. Making it XXX is somewhat weird lore-wise, as the third X is coming out of nowhere. Lore aside, not really a fan of the last effect not restricted to once per turn, as it allows for crazy loops involving Gottoms.

I was not aware of that lore (Though I knew MX-Saber stood for Missing X-Saber) I guess it could just be XX, since it's effects is styled more like those...Even if it's missing the Red Cape 'n' all that. Daigusto Sphreez
And, you know...not really appropriate for a card handled by kids. This card is intended for Konami's (porn)star pack 2015 (it would surely have more tasteful contents than the star packs they released this year and the last anyway). Once per turn is a good idea, I forget to put that condition on my cards all too often... Didn't know the lore either, so feel free to change the name of the card in your head. Vector Nightmare
How about "3X-Saber"? Like others mentioned before me, this card is too abusable as it stands on the OP. My suggestion would be a hard OPT combo clause: During either player's turn, when an opponent's Trap Card is activated, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard: negate that card's effect, and if you do, return it to it's owner's hand. During your Main Phase: you can pay 500 Life Points; Special Summon this card (from the Graveyard). You must control 2 or more face-up "X-Saber" monsters to activate and resolve either of these effects. You can only activate one effect of "XXX/3X-Saber Gigaguro" per turn, and only once per turn. Daigusto Sphreez
I think that strikes a fair balance, so that it cannot be summoned straight after using its effect, which while giving it utility, makes it a bit too good. As for the name, I guess 3X-Saber could work, I just felt that giving it a single or double x was inappropriate given how old the other cards are getting, this feels like it would start a 3rd wave. Thanks for the feedback everyone. Edit: Edited OP card to include Vector's lore and name suggestion.
