BehindTheMask
There is no wrong or right answer here. Since everyone's ideologies, notions, beliefs and psychology is divergent. I may speculate something that another would find unorthodox. I will most likely escort a notion from the philosophy of religion—which I guarantee you that if I do ordain it, a holy war might commence on this website. muh edginess muh islamic name muh s--- posting 1/10 got me to respond. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_youngest_birth_mothers :S Firstly, eww, Secondly, theres still merit. Lets just say that in most cases "10 years" is the earliest a girl can get pregnant and birth the child in normal circumstances. Thats 3652 days. For math's sake, lets just say that a bacteria reproduces once per day. So for every 1 child born, thats 3925(3652+9 months) cycles to 1. Thats just compared to a single cell. Then realize that there are many more bacteria cells compared to humans. They reproduce at such a lightning pace compared to us, that 3 years doesnt make much of a difference. Logan Primus
Humans as a whole are pretty insignificant. If the entire existence of our planet was condensed on to a 24-hour clock we'd only have been alive been 23:53 and 00:00, so 7 minutes. Right now we are *physically* quite strong, we're top of the food chain due to our overall intellect and for lack of a better term 'Power over nature', and we will continue to be so until we wipe ourselves out. If we become too powerful, it's only a matter of time before them term 'temporary' in your statement is proven once and for all.
EPTinYugi
Until we can travel at warp speed in space, colonize and terraform other planets, manipulate the stars themselves, and make love to space babes, I think our place is pretty insignificant considering all the universe's mysteries and the huge events that take place each day. vla1ne
I don't think humans are above the rest of life on this planet, but I do think that humans are far more dangerous in the short term. bacteria does what it does as a simple instinct it's random, but it's still based upon nature. mankind can actively choose what it wants regardless of surroundings or evolution, and that's what usually gives us our edge in life.If there really is another species in the universe with the same, or higher level intelligence, then we honestly should not meet them, because if they're anything like us humans, a war is going to be inevitable. Yasυ
I used to have a mild complex about my height until I realized we're all just really, really tiny. Plus some guys (and gals) find it cute. Just thinking about the vastness and complexity of the universe puts me at ease, like if everything in the world was a joke and nothing I did was ever a big deal. P.S I'm not psycho or anything. Aix
I fail to see how physical size and how much space we occupy matters at all. In how full of life this little planet is we far exceed the rest of this big and empty universe. Our time here may be short, but to make it worthwhile is everything. You are the one that should decide the worth of things to yourself. Everyone is the center of their own perceivable universe.
