Raviel the Phantom
Probably a very powerful card if used properly. Still it was interesting to make Lore: If this Attack Position card is selected as an attack target, you can Pay 1000 Life Points to activate this card's effect. Select 1 Trap Card from your Hand or Graveyard, this card gains the effects of the selected Trap Card. Banish the selected Trap Card after the Battle Phase the turn this effect is used. Progenitor
I understand what you were going for, but just so you don't completely turn the rule book on its head with this one, why not just make it activate the trap from said location? Except that if a card's text contradicts the rulebook, that card's text takes priority. Regardless, this doesnt contradict the rulebook, it is just copying the effects of a trap card. More than likely this would be used on things like Mirror Force or Compulse. Which IMO isnt a good thing, kinda why they are semi-limited/limited. If you dont quite care about that, then I would suggest making it only be able to copy Normal Trap Cards, otherwise it can become a fiendish chain with legs, and that's just silly. I didn't say anything like that. I was just saying that breaking the rules seemed unnecessary in this situation, and suggested an alternate effect that yielded the same result. Nothing more. Trebuchet MS
Let me rework this to something more coherent. If this Attack Position card is selected as targeted for an attack: target, You can pay 1000 Life Points; to activate this card's effect. Select activate 1 Trap Card from your hand or Graveyard, this card gains the effects of the selected Trap Card. At the end of the Battle Phase, banish the activated selected Trap card after the Battle Phase the turn this effect is used. The issue of this card gaining the effects of a Trap Card opens a can of worms. What happens if it gains the effect of a Trap Monster? If you gain the effects of Mirror Force and the like, by the time you have finished resolving this card's effect, you've missed the timing window for said card. What happens if it gains the effect of a Trap without any specific timing activation, like Compulsory Evacuation Device? How often can you activate that effect, if ever? All of these can be remedied by directly activating the Trap Card in question.
Darj
This card's effect is way too similar to Junk Collector; it even banishes the Trap Card as Collector does. You might as well copy/paste its effect to solve this card's OCG and ruling issues. Also, cards in the hand cannot be targeted, so you could follow Collector's effect and banish the Trap from the hand or Graveyard as cost. This would the card's effect fixed with Junk Collector's: If this Attack Position card is targeted for an attack: You can pay 1000 Life Points and banish 1 Normal Trap Card from your hand or Graveyard; activate the effect of the banished Trap Card as this card's effect. You can only activate this effect if the activation requirement of the Trap Card you would banish is met.

This card appears to be able to extend to Continuous and Counter Traps, based on how vaguely it's worded.
Darj
Ah, you are right. It should read "Trap Card" in the effect cost instead of "Normal Trap Card".
