When you possess no Effect monsters on the field or in your Graveyard: Banish 1 Normal monster from your Graveyard and send 1 Normal monster from your Deck to the Graveyard; draw 2 cards. You can only activate 1 "Cursed Pot of Greed" per turn. You cannot Summon Effect monsters during the turn you activate this card.

they're normal monsters until they get summoned twice, right? Not sure what they count as in the graveyard though.

They're also treated as Vanilla in Grave, though not in the Deck, so you still need to run some real vanilla to use this card.

If there are no Effect monsters on your side of the field or in your Graveyard: Banish 1 Normal Monster from your Graveyard and send 1 Normal Monster from your Deck to the Graveyard; draw 2 cards. You can only activate 1 "Cursed Pot of Greed" per turn. You cannot summon Effect Monsters during the turn you activate this card.

^OCG fix

Seems like a pretty useful card for pure vanilla decks, but they don't really work anyway unless its Geminis we are on about. The card should probably be altered to clarify if it works with Geminis or not, since they are only treated as Normal Monsters on the field or in the Graveyard.

Since Gemini monsters are treated as Normal monsters on the field or in the Graveyard, it would be possible to use this card in a Gemini Deck.  However, Gemini monsters in your hand are treated as Effect monsters, so you could not summon them on the same turn you activate this card (though you can still Set them).
