This is Celebi. Tried to reflect natural cure the best I can. Image belongs to fanpop.com.

If you would have taken battle damage: you can detach 1 Xyz material, to gain life points equal to the battle damage or, target one monster you control to gain equal to the battle damage. Maybe next time, I will put this card cannot be destroy by battle what do you think.

If you would take battle damage: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; gain that many Life Points OR target 1 monster you control, and if you do, it gains that much (ATK/DEF?).
 
For the 2nd part of the effect, you need to specify which stat gets boosted.
 
As a whole, the first effect allows you to essentially negate any damage you take (though you'll still take it, based on the wording; but you'll regain it right after) OR in a way similar to Beelze, King of Dark Dragons [or whatever its TCG name is], any damage is translated into power for a monster of your choosing. Summoning-wise, Hazy Flames can bring this out (or if you can use Rank-Ups on Constellars or something; since both are Fairies, but why would you do that?).

Since natural cure is an ability that allows to switch out just by healing. I decide that instead of its effect not being like spirit monsters (since they love returning to the owner's hand), I just give the player a choice you either:

A) Gain life points that you lost

B) Choose a monster on your field to gain the battle damage you recieve

Also you were right about the name of the card.
