Number 385: Jirachi, the wishing deity

Well this card is requested by Lucky777dice. He wants me to do a Jirachi and Deoxys card but I only did a Jirachi. The effect is kind of unique and I have to come up this morning image belongs to 99frums.biz. Hope you enjoy.

Once per turn during your Standby Phase: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; draw 1 card from your deck. If you do, this card gain these effects.

. If the card you drew is a Monster Card, this card gains equal of its ATK and DEF for the monster card you drew.

. If the card you drew is a Spell Card, your opponent draws 1 card.

. If the card you drew is a Trap Card, your opponent loses 200 Life Points for each Spell/Trap on the field.

OCG is getting better, but still needs improvements. Gadj, feel free to further correct this if something is off.

 

 

Anyway, for a Rank 8, this card has low stats and while the monster effect does allow it to boost, you can afford to buff its base ATK/DEF a bit. since assuming a 50% chance of drawing a monster). Otherwise, it gets run over by pretty much every other monster that gets used nowadays. You can also increase the LP loss from the Trap effect slightly to offset the effort needed to summon it (even though some Decks can pull off Rank 8s without much hassle).

 

As you probably know by now, while it does stick to Jirachi's abilities somewhat, most of the Rank 8 monsters that exist in the real game outclass this.
