Number 395: Empoleon, the penguin emperor

Since Empoleon is a penguin and I have seen penguin cards and seen what abilities they do, I gave Empoleon the same principle but sending it to the graveyard instead. Image made by seiryuuden.deviantart.com.

Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; you can randomly select 3 cards your opponent controls, and if you do, send them to the graveyard.

Personally I love Empoleon, and anything related to the Steel-Water type bugger, but if he ever existed in Yu-gi-oh the way you portray his effect, he most likely would appear on the ban list in one format because He seems too close to an Exciton Knight with no drawbacks or requirements.

As the above poster mentioned, this card's effect is too powerful for a generic Rank 4 and pushes it on the level of Exciton and other meta-worthy cards.

Lower it to 1-2 cards and/or add an attack restriction or something.

I love Empoleon, he was my starter for Diamond and Platinum, but he's way too powerful as you portray him. How about this, (Once per turn, while your opponent has at least 3 face-up cards on their side of the field: Detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; randomly select 1 card your opponent controls and send it to the Graveyard.) Does that seem fairer to you guys?

I have no problems with this card. Love it. No bias whatsoever.
