Hunduel
Here's my take of the Highlander Format for YGO. This post can be useful for those who're interested in alternate formats, but they don't know any or don't know how to play them. 1., Your deck must contain exactly 60 cards. 2., You can only use 1 copy of a card, both Main Deck and Extra Deck cards. 3., The actual banlist is applied to this format, however, you cannot use banned and limited cards in this format. Semi-limited and unlimited cards are allowed. 4., The Extra Deck size is 15, as usually. 5., You can Fusion Summon any Fusion Monsters by Contact Fusion, even if the card wouldn't allow it normally (like Evil HEROs). The Fusion Materials are shuffled back to the Main Deck. However, if a card mentions that the Fusion Summon must be done with the proper Fusion Materials, you cannot use substitutes for that Contact Fusion either. 6., There is no Side Deck. Optional rules: - Both player starts the duel with 16,000 LP Anything else I missed or shall be added? Tell me what you think.

Hunduel
Isn't Elder Dragon Highlander the same as Commander? It is, but this isn't EDH. That's why I wrote it's Basic Highlander. EDH is Commander, but EDH is also a subgenre of Highlander itself. Every format which uses the "1 copy per card" rule is treated as Highlander. Commander is a bit more specific with the specific "Deck Master" rules and deck building rulings, and I'm still unsure if Commander/EDH itself can be adapted to Yu-Gi-Oh! I actually saw your topic about it, it is a nice way, but as Commander has specific rulings and exceptions, I think Yu-Gi-Oh! even requires more, or at least the same amount. I've read somewhere a variant for it, which took Water Dragon as an example. Originally, you'd be able to use WATER and/or Dragon-Type monsters in your Deck, but as your Commander (in this case, Water Dragon) has Oxygeddon and 2 Hydrogeddon in its effect, you can also add them to your Deck. It also had a ruling for Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, as if it is your Commander / Deck Master, you are able to use 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons. Basic Highlander is much simple. 1 copies per cards, no broken banned/limited stuff, but still a similar gameplay as EDH. Not the same, but it's also really fun. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
It doesn't matter what you call it, if it's different it's different. In other words, stop arguing about "this already established thing for something else is the same as another established thing for something else" when in these cases they are clearly different, not to mention unofficial, and can be whatever anyone wants them to be. On the actual subject matter, 16K lifepoints with horrible consistency sounds like it would make for extremely long, drawn out, and boring gameplay. Yeah, I actually was not sure about that I should increase the LP to 16k, or shall keep it at 8k. But thinking about that, yeah, 8k life point is actually okay. I'll modify the first post.
