When your opponent would Special Summon a monster OR when a monster would be Special Summoned by your opponent's card effect, they can discard 1 card, if they do not, negate the Special Summon of that monster.[/spoiler]

 

I am not sure if this is OP. I took a look at the other Masked Hero Cards and just thought that the effect was worth while. What do you think?

Just randomly entered this, geez, this is light years far from OP'd, not only that opponent can freely activate effect to ss since that wording will only works on inherent-SS, but DW also love to discard another card (a.k.a. start another play) after they SS'd Grapha.

I did have DW in mind and I used it as balance. The reason I wondered if it was OP was the cost of continual special summon limitation.

Just randomly entered this, geez, this is light years far from OP'd, not only that opponent can freely activate effect to ss since that wording will only works on inherent-SS, but DW also love to discard another card (a.k.a. start another play) after they SS'd Grapha.

If DW's are running Mask Change/HEROes, I'd be very, VERY worried.

As to the card itself, it sounds good in theory. Then again, I'm always fond of cards that punish SSing >3> Something about the way it's wording feels like there's a loophole waiting to be exploited, though I can't quite put my finger on it.

well at this rate it's kinda UP, maybe you could try something like "When your opponent would Special Summon a monster OR when a monster would be Special Summoned by your opponent's card effect, they can discard 1 card, if they do not, negate the Special Summon of that monster" so that it covered non-inherent as well, also that last part is just in case of your opponent set 5 when seeing this and simply render this useless. 

 

and no, even after my fix'd, it still not OP, please note that Mask Change is literally -2 (3 for MS2) to just bring this guy out, so you have to make it at least worth that -2

Aqua found the loophole. It only works on inherent summons. Change the wording to something closer to a one-sided summoner's curse, then you can worry about balancing.

As is, I would not use it in Hunders.

Yeah, really UP. Needs something else. Maybe add a clause for recycling a Mask Change or Fusion card at the end.
 

 

I'm still thinking about that.
