Admiral Tim
I'm 15 and Canadian so legal age is 18, not that far off. Occasionally i'll drink with friends but not to be "cool" so much. A lot of people don't drink at our parties and there is no pressure, it's just a laugh if you do.
Goose
I don't do it, but some friends have, as well as many strangers and family members who are under the age of majority in Canada (18). The fact that it is based on various parameters of a person psychologically that are unpredictable enough to be called capricious means that I have no care about if children drink it. Saying to do it based on moderation or that their bodies may be too small to properly handle it can be said of anybody to an extent, anyway. nice try bro. all real canadians know there is a different drinking age in every province. age of majority in bc is 19 (as well as sask, ontario, and maybe some of atlantic canada)

It's interesting because the age of majority being 18 applies to over three-quarters of the population. Note I also said that the age of majority has no significance to me. I wasn't even sure about the one in my own province until I turned it. I would pay even less attention to the age of majority of other provinces, so of course I'm wrong about them. I also don't really like being called bro for some reason. Please don't do it again.

'tyleR
Drinking is fun, but isn't for everyone. The problem with underage drinking is that most fuckin' kids don't know how to handle their alcohol responsibly, they end up doing stupid shit because of a lack of safety education. That's society's fault imo, because we just generally say "Don't do it." instead of being like "We understand most of you will make this decision, here are steps to ensure you do it safely and have fun at the same time." Sure alcohol ads say "Drink responsibly" but what the fuck is responsibly? To most that's just "Don't step foot behind the wheel." which quite honestly, just isn't enough of an explanation and does absolutely no good because when you're drunk your Don't Give A Flying Fuck level is over 9,000. Really it's not a problem with just underagers, it's a problem for everyone, but since underage people gotta go through loopholes anyway it's just a bigger issue. FYI, I dig drinking every once in awhile. Moderation is key.

Agro
There's a reason that most colleges now are offering courses for students on safe drinking and safe sex for free. Drinking one wasn't all that enjoyable, just a short online thing we had to do for about an hour or so. Watching some videos and other stuff. Learned a few things though, so I'd say it was helpful. Sex one, tho. I got to sit through a whole session on sex positions and toys. Free condoms at the end. Very helpful... I think.
Admiral Tim
New question, for those who did say yes to the first question, what is the wackiest/most embarrassing/stupid thing you've done drunk. T. Sankara
Underage drinking? I mean, it's 21 down here in the N.O., but I don't agree with underage drinking. I believe the limiter is there, and for good reason. And then, I only drink casually anyway. Maybe one when I'm out with friends or at a party, but other than that, I don't consume more than 2 small alcoholic beverages on a night as such. So no, I don't do it. JadenxAtemYAOI
Yay for Italy and being able to drink at 16. In all seriousness it should stay 21 in the US. After living in the US for what is it, nine years for me now? Your typical 16-21 year old is an idiot and a cocky one at that. Underage drinking at home where your parents are there to moderate your drinking? I can agree with that. Publicly where you can ruin the rest of your life because you decided to go pork that 14 year old classmate and get charged with statutory rape? No, no public drinking. With the amount of teen parents in the current workforce and current unemployed. I'd feel rather uncomfortable letting a 17 year old soon to be 18 year old mother of probably two drink around their child. I personally drink one glass at night and that's just to relax my body and help me sleep.

LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
why do u disagree anyway? Agro said it for me, basically. I've said it a few times before, I don't mind if others drink around me, but I don't have any desire to do it, it doesn't seem like a fun thing to me. Not worth the negative. Agro
not really any negatives if you drink around people who'll watch your back and do it responsibly yourself planning well is always the way to go.
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
I understand that, and agree to a point. People slip up sometimes and I don't have many I trust enough. But, either way, I don't think it's worth it. That's what it comes down to really, the positive doesn't outweigh the negative for me.

LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
What negative? wait a minute, what do you consider the positives and the negatives? Sickness, injury, hurting yourself and others. Doing things you regret. Losing friends and family, or harming them emotionally, physically, whatever. Death. Those are the possible negatives. The positives are, a possibly good feeling and some funny stories. Yes, I know it's a very negative view, and no I don't care that I'm biased. I'll maybe drink some time, but I will likely not get drunk more than once or twice, in controlled situations.
Elijah~
What negative? wait a minute, what do you consider the positives and the negatives? Positives: Takes the edge off after a long day Makes you feel great Negatives: Sometimes, you may drink one glasses too many and end up getting drunk This is just my personal perspective on the positives and negatives on underage drinking/drinking in general.
