BatMed
Hi there, since templates series 9 were released, I tried to make them starting with effect monsters (using PS)... and This is the result... Anyway, back to the card, I'm planing to make some new support to Plaguespreader Synchro series, all of them will be Level 3 or 4 Synchro monsters. It's actually a remake since I'll use the artworks of "Zombie Dragon", "Armored Zombie" (gonna add some touches/effects to the imgs)... since they are revived counterpart of existing monsters (according to the wikia), and of course, this card below will be their ace card. **Effect** If you control a face-up "Plaguespreader Zombie": You can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do; this card's Level becomes 1. You cannot Special Summon monsters except Zombie-type monsters. so, what do you think? and of course, constructives criticisms are appretiated :D

Dramatic Crossroad
The card looks good, the concept behind it is OK, maybe a bit creative too, considering it is just an expansion to a previous series. I think if you twitch the effect and stats a bit, you can make it more versatile (and usable with the previous Plague monsters as well). Here is what i mean. If the original level is 2 and the level-changing effect could either increase or decrease by 2: -2: You can Summon Level 3 plague monsters, since a monster's level, if it has one, cannot drop below 1. +2: You can Summon Level 6 plague monsters. And if you normal summon this card you can have access to the level 4 monsters you mentioned making. Plus if "Pain Painter" is taken into consideration, you could make some level 2 plague zombie counterparts as Xyz Monster maybe? (ex. Clown Zombie)

Yemachu
but I don't get the level changing part,. If the original level is 2 and the level-changing effect could either increase or decrease by 2: -2: You can Summon Level 3 plague monsters, since a monster's level, if it has one, cannot drop below 1. +2: You can Summon Level 6 plague monsters. Plus if "Pain Painter" is taken into consideration, you could make some level 2 plague zombie counterparts as Xyz Monster maybe? (ex. Clown Zombie) What I can make out of it, is that the original Level of your "Emissary of the Red Moon" would be 2 rather than 3; and has the ability to either increase or decrease its level by up to 2. Assuming this is what "Dramatic Crossroad" meant, the effect would be become something like: "If you control a face-up "Plaguespreader Zombie": You can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, you can increase or decrease this card's Level by up to 2. You cannot Special Summon monsters except Zombie-Type monsters.". This would allow the summoning of Level 3, 4, 5 or 6, Zombie-Type Synchro Monsters (assuming the "Plaguespreading Zombie" on the field is a Level 2 Tuner {and not "Phantom of Chaos", "The Tyrant Neptune", or a card with a similar effect}). With that out of the way, let us look at its playabilty. Currently the only Zombie-Type Synchro Monsters are: "Archfiend Zombie-Skull", "Revived King Ha Des" and "Doomkaiser Dragon". Only the latter 2 being able to be Synchro Summoned immediately, if you have applied the "Dramatic Crossroad" his/her suggestion that is. Quite lackluster, wouldn't you agree? Its Xyz Summoning capabilty is even worse, being limited to "Ghostrick Alucard" and "Number 48: Shadow Lich", both of which require another Level 3 monster on your side of the field. Lastly it can serve as tribute fodder, but we have far better monsters for that ("Treeborn Frog" for example). I know you wrote that you intended on expanding the archtype, but as of now, I cannot judge on how well those cards work together. It might therefore not come as a suprise that this card seems underwhelming to me as it is now. Since I have no clue on what cards you intend on adding (which, seeing your history, are probably a lot), I cannot give any real suggestions on how to improve it. Maybe you can remove the Zombie-Type only resctriction, as I do not really see any usage for it; other than severely resctricting you in your Special Summoning (you cannot Special Summon non-Zombie-Type monsters, even when you use this card as Special Summoning Material). This card's name also reminds me of "Vampire Baby", that might sound weird; but not if know its older name: "Red-Moon Baby". Is this card supposed to be related to that monster, or is it just a coincidence? I guess it would be the latter, as it does not have a hyphen (-) in its name and it is not very vampirical (is that even a word?) in appearance. I hope that my reply is of some use for you. Well well, now I understand and indeed, both of your suggestions make this card more generic Once I'll finish updating the series 9 templates, I'm gonna submit this card with your effects ^^
