LiAM
More of a discussion thread. As I use Gimp, if you can provide (free) Gimp related resources, that would be great. What is your favourite brush and font? Best tip/trick or cheat method of making something quick look good? Any free to use/copyright free high quality image/renders. Any links to good downloads to add to Gimp? So many forward slashes. Made with Freemixx ( http://freemixx.com/ )

Simping For Hina
Gradient map. It is a tool that uses 2-3 colors and formats the image in those two colors. The first color is the primary and the second color is secondary. By using filters and tools such as Addition, overlay, screen, darken, etc. gradient maps can alter the artwork in terms of blending, tone, and color. In multiples, they drastically change the art so it becomes more unison and blended properly, so that nothing sticks out or looks like it just pasted on. This is just a basic idea of what they are used for, go a head and use them for more than blending. Have fun and experiment with them. Since you use gimp, Night or a tutorial online might be the best thing to look at as there is more information than I provide.

Thanks for explaining, can you give an example of an image with and without the G-Map? Maybe the process of each colour being added so I can get a visual idea? Simping For Hina
Just looking at tutorials would do it. I don't have access to PhotoShop, or any or my PSDs at the moment, so I can't. Just download a PSD, which GIMP does have the ability to look at and open, and go through the layers to see what was done.

Tormented
wtf we all know comic sans it the best font, why would you lie night!? The issue I have using paintings is I feel much worse about stealing something such as a painting than I do a stock, I know it seems silly, finding decent stocks is pretty simple-just google what you are looking for. What is this bullshit to say that Comic Sans is a bad font ? Because everyone says that ? This is a very good font, it's just that it is often misused ... Btw there is no absolute font that fits with all the things you can see.... And there's no G-Map filter on Gimp (or I've never seen it...)
