~British Soul~
It probably will be, since it was a Synchro that debuted in the anime. Yeah, I've been thinking that for quite a while tbh.
Ultravires
Who gets the prize cards? Everyone who attends, or only in a high standing? People who win big tournaments get prize cards they can't even legally use, making them nothing more than bragging rights. Giving prize cards that ARE usable and decent cards in their own right is fine. But then you remember prize cards like Crush Card Virus and Gold Sarc LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG before their reprints. I never really studied this card's art this close before. It looks so beautiful. Assuming no change is made in the YCS/WCQ prizing structure for the coming year, the breakdown is generally as follows. 1st Place YCS - 1 Ultra Rare YCS prize card 2nd-3rd Place YCS - 1 Super Rare YCS prize card 1st Place Playoff Event 1 YCS - 1 Super Rare YCS prize card 1st Place Playoff Event 2 YCS - 1 Super Rare YCS prize card 1st Place WCQ - 1 Ultra Rare YCS prize card, plus top 32 prize Top 32 NAWCQ/EUWCQ - 1 Super Rare YCS prize card Top 16 WCQ (most other countries) - 1 Super Rare YCS prize card 1st Place Playoff Event 1 WCQ- 1 Super Rare YCS prize card 1st Place Playoff Event 2 WCQ- 1 Super Rare YCS prize card Ever since Crush Card, Konami releasing extremely meta-relevant cards as prizes has left a very bad taste in every competitive player's mouth. No prize card should be legal for sanctioned play. It's one thing for a card to be expensive due to secondary market demand, but it's entirely another for a card that is relevant for competitive play to be so rare that you can't even find one to buy. I dropped $700 on a Giant Hand last format. Thankfully I'm fortunate enough to have the disposable income to invest in this game while also profiting when I pull my investment out, but the vast majority of players do not. Drascension is not the be-all, end-all of either deck, but it has game-altering applications. In particular, knowing that Konami is going to be pushing Yang Zings hard to be tier 1 during the WCQ 2015 season, this is clearly a very bad move. Y0SH1_M4S73R
It's fairly relevant in Yang Zing and Shaddolls. Just played Yang Zing and got this out with Suanni, Bian, and Bixi. 5300 beatstick that shakes off traps and can't be destroyed by battle even if your opponent does manage to get something able to go over it. I honestly think this is an exceptional side, if not a staple, in Yang Zing
goddamnit names are a pain
You see we need championship cards that aren't really championship cards in the OCG. Meaning they already exist. And that pool is gigantic. Then narrow down normal monsters and junk like the OCG imports we got a few packs back. It's pretty obvious which cards stand out as Championship cards. That being said I really freaking want this card. EDIT: I forgot to quote DysonRage when saying this
