Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by its own effect, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. If a "Guardian Eatos" is destroyed by battle or by card effect and sent to your Graveyard: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. When this card is Special Summoned: You can equip 1 "Reaper Scythe - Dreadscythe" from your Deck to this card. You cannot Normal or Special Summon monsters (but you can Normal Set). When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: Send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard, and if you do, Special Summon this card from the Graveyard.

Gaadian... Desusaisu... *demonic laugh*

Man those were some good episodes...

Anyway, in the modern game Dreadscythe is severely underpowered, and while I get why they preserved her flavour they didn't do her justice. She needed to Summon from hand OR Graveyard on Eatos' destruction. The rest I've come to live with, because she is so damn awesome. And for style points, activating the Seal will destroy Eatos and trigger this, and replicate her creation in the anime.

Reaper Scythe is where I draw umbridge. Useless on any other Monster, doesn't recycle itself, and doesn't have the same petrified mural art as the other Guardian Weapons barring Celestial Sword (whose art was shown in the anime so I give it a pass).

Should've been able to grab any equip, and should've been able to SS itself from anywhere from the Eatos destruction.

Card is trash.

From anywhere wouldn't happen, since Special Summoning itself from the deck is a no-no IIRC.

From the hand or Graveyard would have been nice though, especially given how easy it'd be to get it in the Graveyard.  As for grabbing any appropriate Equip Spell, I'd have no objection to that, but they were trying to preserve its flavour.

At the very least, they gave us a way to cheat it into play through Exa-Beetle, which isn't too bad.
