ems97
Gourgeist has the ability Frisk which tells you what does the opponent has and the move Split Pain. Image is from macuarrorro.deviantart.com 2 Level 4 monsters When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can look at the Player's hand. When this card inflicts damage: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; gain Life Points equal to that damage.
TondehDondeh
Maybe its just me, but I think its summon effect is a TINY bit OP. Maybe tone it down to "When this monster is Xyz Summoned, for each monster your opponent controls, you can view 1 card in your opponent's hand." Pain Split isn't used correctly here, it adds damage between Pokemon and splits it between them evenly. The effect would be more like this: "Your Life Points and your opponent's Life Points become an amount equal to the combined amount of each player's Life Points. Then, each player's Life Points become half of that amount." (or do the same thing just with a monster's ATK/DEF) Something to consider I suppose. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Sometimes you have to balance a character's abilities/moveset against playability and balance. Anyway, the reveal effect does capture its ability Frisk and while it might sound OPed to reveal your opponent's hand upon summoning; Frisk does reveal both Pokemon's items in a double battle (I've fought a couple Frisk Pokes in Battle Institute on Pokemon X, so I can confirm this to some extent). It's one-time only though, so it should be fine. As for the LP gaining effect, the way you made this effect is more on the lines of Giga Drain (which I believe it can learn). Pain Split takes the HP of itself and a target Pokemon, then divides it equally (which above user already mentioned, or you should know already). Pain Split isn't a damaging move, so you can just have it activate with a detach and not with causing damage. I'd go with the stat averaging since it's less broken; averaging LP could prove to be overpowering and slice off a chunk of your opponent's LP, if there is a large disparity in points between both of you (factoring in battle damage / costs / Soul Charge things, etc).
