Trebuchet MS
Oh dear god you went there. Though to be fair, the Crystallization gimmick isn't too far off from the concept of Pendulums. It feels really natural. Love how they could tuck themselves into the P Zones, albeit as a compulsory effect. Mismanagement would result in clogged P-Zones and being unable to Pendulum properly. I'm going to assume the "Pendulum only Crystal Beast monsters" bit of the effects can't be negated, like the Qlips' gimmick?

Yeah, probably should put that in there to clear the fact that it couldn't be negated. About clogging, yeah, that's probably one of the other drawbacks I tried putting in to make sure that they're not too good.
asterr259
Oh dear god you went there. ^ My exact words. I wasn't ready lol These are great. Scale is fair, Pendulum effects are balanced being not too beneficial for being able to fly back into the Pendulum Zone when monsters. Being Pendulums they don't contribute to CB Support and Rainbow which is also fair. Fix the "can't be negated" part like Gadji said and they're legit. Clogging effect seems mean, but Pendulums being a OPT "Carbuncle" from the hand anyway, it isn't a bad design choice.

They're still tutorable by Beacon, can be placed in the S/T zone by various means, etc. If they also fill the quota while being a pendulum, that'd actually be really broken. Been awhile since I ran CB, but I guess top decking these and being able to activate cards like Beacon, Ruins, Raigeki, ect would be broken. But having atleast 1 card that says ". . .-"Crystal Beast" Spell Card(s) . . ." wouldn't be so bad lol
Yemachu
Definitely no Pokémon reference in the naming of your monsters ;) (but where is "Crystal Beast Delta Emerald Tortoise"?). Though I would probably have gone with a gemstone cut for the naming. Name: Crystal Beast Omega Ruby CarbuncleAttribute: LIGHTType: Fairy / Pendulum / EffectLevel: 3ATK: 300DEF: 300Monster Effect: ① When this card is Summoned: You can place 1 "Crystal Beast" monster from your hand OR 1 face-up "Crystal Beast" monster from your Extra Deck into your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. ② When this card is destroyed, place this card face-up in one of your Pendulum Zone if able. Otherwise, place this card in your S/T zone face-up as a Continuous Spell Card.Pendulum Scale: ×5 / Ø5Pendulum Effect: ① When this card is face up on your Pendulum Zone, you can also Pendulum Summon "Crystal Beast" monsters from your S/T zone. ② Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 "Crystal Beast" monster from your S/T zone. If you do, you can't conduct your Battle Phase this turn. ③ You can only Pendulum Summon "Crystal Beast" monsters when this card is in your Pendulum Zone (this effect cannot be negated). This card's first monster effect looks a bit like the original effect of "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus", so it is a bit weird to see it on a"Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle" alternative; not that it matters. Also since you have just 2 Pendulum "Crystal Beast" monsters so far, there most likely is won't be much choice in your Extra Deck. Due to its low ATK, DEF and lacking monster effect (for now), it does not make much sense to Summon this card; its Pendulum Effect is far more useful (similar to "Qliphoth Tool"). Due to its first Pendulum effect you can easily keep returning your "Crystal Beast" cards to your Monster Card Zones. Even more easily than with the effect of "Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle", as well as the fact that you can summon just the more powerful monsters (no requirements for a 300 ATK and DEF monster without any other beneficial effect). Not to mention it has another effect, which allows you to simply Special Summon any "Crystal Beast" monster from your Spell & Trap Card Zone; albeit at giving up your Battle Phase. If you have "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus" and this card in your hand on the first turn of the duel, you can quickly fill up the field: Normal Summon "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus"; Place 1 "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus" from your Deck in your Spell & Trap Card Zone; Activate "Crystal Beast Omega Ruby Carbuncle"; Special Summon "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus" from your Spell & Trap Card Zone; Place 1 "Crystal Beast" monster from your Deck in your Spell and Trap Card Zone (yet another "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus?"); Then if you have a Pendulum Monster with an unrestricted (or restricted to "Crystal" / "Gem" monsters) Pendulum Scale of 3 or lower in your hand, you can Pendulum Summon your last "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus". Now with just 2 specific cards (and 1 less specific), you can constantly spam your "Crystal Beast" monsters and therefore Rank 4 monsters as well. This might be a little bit too much. My suggestion for this card is to remove the second Pendulum Effect, that way you cannot swarm the field with "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus" as easily; and it would be redundant in most other cases. I would also have added a restriction/downside to the Pendulum Summoning, if it wasn't for the "Qliphoth" archtype which essentially does just the same. Name: Crystal Beast Alpha Sapphire PegasusAttribute: WINDType: Winged Beast / Pendulum / EffectLevel: 4ATK: 1800DEF: 1200Monster Effect: ① When this card is Special Summoned, you can add 1 "Crystal" card from your deck to your hand. This effect can only be activated once per turn. ② When this card is destroyed, place this card face-up in one of your Pendulum Zone if able. Otherwise, place this card in your S/T zone face-up as a Continuous Spell Card.Pendulum Scale: ×2 / Ø2Pendulum Effect: ① Once per turn, if "Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins" is face-up on the field, you can place 1 "Crystal Beast" monster from your Deck or Graveyard to your S/T zone as a Continuous Spell Card. ② Once per turn, when a "Crystal Beast" card would be removed from the field, you can place it in your S/T zone as a Continuous Spell Card. ③ You can only Pendulum Summon "Crystal Beast" monsters when this card is in your Pendulum Zone (this effect cannot be negated). If you replace a regular "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus" from the above combination with this card, you can easily search your Deck each turn (if it keeps getting destroyed / tributed that is). Futhermore this effect can seemingly add "Rainbow Dragon" and "Rainbow Dark Dragon" (as well as my "Rainbow Pendulum Dragon", was that card your inspiration for making these cards?). This is because their japanese names include the following characters 宝玉 which, according to Google Translate, means "Gem" (although Yu-Gi-Oh! translates it to "Crystal"). For a somewhat similar reason you cannot add the following "Crystal" cards from your deck to your hand: "Chronomaly Crystal Skull", "Chronomaly Crystal Bones", "Gem-Knight Crystal" and "B.E.S. Crystal Core". Also, without a monster name a "This effect can only be used once per turn"-restriction does not do all that much on a Summoning effect; it resets once it leaves the field. Next of: the Pendulum Effect of this card. Although its first effect does require you to control a face-up "Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins", it can still be a bit over powered. You can search your Deck each turn, just for being on the field with a face-up "Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins". This allows for quick deck thinning, as well as setting up the effects of "Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins". Maybe make it so that it only lets you search your Deck/Graveyard for a "Crystal Beast" monster when this card is activated from your hand, or add a cost to its activation. Lastly it not only allows you to quickly thin your deck, but it also protects you monsters from being banished. This seems somewhat unrelated to the card, which already is powerful enough as it is. My suggestion for this effect is to remove it from this card and give it to a different Greek-Character-" Crystal Beast" (specifically "Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise", since that card is more defensively oriented).Related to both cards: Typically when the Pendulum Effect of a monster is being applied, that card is in a Pendulum Zone. Therefore it seems kind of redundant to specify it as a requirement for the third Pendulum Effect on both cards ("You can only Pendulum Summon "Crystal Beast" monsters when this card is in your Pendulum Zone."). Another point which might require your attention is that their monster effect does not specify that they must be destroyed from a Monster Card Zone while being face-up. This might therefore imply that you can move it to a Pendulum Zone, or a different Spell & Trap Card Zone (the way all official cards to date name it, not "S/T Zone") if there is no place in your Pendulum Zones. I assume this is not the case, but it can be made clearer. Also other "Crystal Beast" have the option to be placed in the Spell & Trap Card Zone or be sent to the Graveyard; this option is not present on your cards, was this intended? Also keep in mind that with each new "Crystal Beast" monster, you get more possibilities for the summoning of "Rainbow Dragon"; which in turn makes it easier to summon said card (though you must still manage them, since you need exactly 7 "Crystal Beast" monsters with different names on the field and/or in the Graveyard; no more, no less). I will leave it up to you, whether that is a good thing or not. However since these monsters seem to be based on already existing cards, it seems a bit weird that you can use them as a replacement for some of the weaker "Crystal Beast" monsters (and thus summon "Rainbow Dragon" with "Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle" and "Crystal Beast Omega Ruby Carbuncle" for example). Therefore I would suggest to add 1 more effect to them: "This card's name is always treated as "Crystal Beast Name of card it is based on".", similar to the "Harpie Lady" cards ("Harpie Lady 1", "Harpie Lady 2" and "Harpie Lady 3"). Though that limits the amount of original monsters that you can run allongside them (they are treated as the same card for Deck building purposes). I hope my vision/suggestions are of usage to you. It is reliant on opening Sapphire, yeah, but it's quite a strong opening. Would be less optimal as the game goes on (as better combos will be available), but I see your point. If you replace a regular "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus" from the above combination with this card, you can easily search your Deck each turn (if it keeps getting destroyed / tributed that is). A cost sounds good, I'll see what I can think for it.Related to both cards: Typically when the Pendulum Effect of a monster is being applied, that card is in a Pendulum Zone. Therefore it seems kind of redundant to specify it as a requirement for the third Pendulum Effect on both cards ("You can only Pendulum Summon "Crystal Beast" monsters when this card is in your Pendulum Zone."). Forgot the correct wording, will be fixed. Another point which might require your attention is that their monster effect does not specify that they must be destroyed from a Monster Card Zone while being face-up. Making them outright replace Sapphire Pegasus and Ruby Carbuncle would hurt the deck way too much (well, not so much on Ruby, but losing Sapphire hurts a lot). I hope my vision/suggestions are of usage to you. Thanks for the reply.
Yemachu
"I could swap the two effects, making this card having a weaker "Ruby Carbuncle" effect on summon, and turning the Pendulum effect to help set-ups." This seems like a nice solution to me, but I have a somewhat different suggestion. So far you have only 2 "Greek Crystal Beast" (by lack of a better name), which seem like they are more useful versions of the existing "Crystal Beast" cards. Whereas the original "Crystal Beast" set consists of 7 monsters. In case you would make some other cards, I can see the first Monster Effect of "Crystal Beast Omega Ruby Carbuncle" work for Greek "Crystal Beast Theta Cobalt Eagle" (either as Monster or Spell effect). This is because the original "Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle" returns cards from the field to the Deck, where this version would return them from the Graveyard or Extra Deck to the field. The " weak" summoning effect can then still become its monster effect. And, depending on how it triggers, you can remove/replace the drawbacks. If it is on a (Normal) Summon, no restriction might be needed; in case of "once per turn", I would disallow this card and/or the Special Summoned monster to attack. "This was actually the intended combo. It is reliant on opening Sapphire, yeah, but it's quite a strong opening. Would be less optimal as the game goes on (as better combos will be available), but I see your point." With your above suggestion, this card should be balanced (although others might think differently, but that I cannot say for sure). You can, however, no longer actually perform your intended combo. Although you can still get the same result when using "Crystal Promise". "Hmm, I think I could reword it into ( 1 "Crystal Beast" monsters OR 1 "Crystal" Spell Card) for this card's intended purpose. Admittedly I was somewhat lazy when I made these, so there's stuffs like these that I overlooked." I don't think it would be much of an issue that you can fetch an "Ultimate Gem God" (read "Rainbow Dragon" monster), since that somewhat small archtype is very closely related to it. Futhermore I get the feeling you might have skipped a word. From the cards which I listed, only the ones without "Crystal" in their name could be searched(which is kind of ironic); this is a little issue that arises when you start translating things. But if you don't want the "Ultimate Gem God" monsters to join the party, then your effect is fine (but why no love for Trap Cards?). "A cost sounds good, I'll see what I can think for it." Since you already need a specific card on the field, the cost does not need to be big; paying about 400~500 Life Points seems like a reasonable cost. Or you can go with a somewhat luck based option (in this case no cost is needed): let the player excavate the top card from their Deck, if it is a "Crystal Beast" monster you can place it in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card; if it is not, return it to the bottom of the Deck. "It was indeed intended. Was thinking of a somewhat subtle drawback for these, and it's pretty much the only thing that I could thought up when I made these. And yes, I am being lazy with the OCG, will be fixed." Allright! I just wanted to make sure it was; although I could have known if had paid a little bit more attention to 1 of your other replies. Although the OCG was not entirely spot on, it was clear enough what you intended; which (in my opinion) is more important than extremely unclear, yet flawless OCG. "The point of these was to give you more options so you don't have to run things like Cat, Mammoth, or Tortoise though. Making them outright replace Sapphire Pegasus and Ruby Carbuncle would hurt the deck way too much (well, not so much on Ruby, but losing Sapphire hurts a lot)." Flavor has absolutly no use in a duel (or I am not aware of a certain card/archtype), so it does not matter. But it breaks the flavor of "Rainbow Dragon" a bit. That monster is supposed to be made out of the colors of the "Crystal Beast" monsters. Now it is like coloring a rainbow with a single pencil. Which brings me to a different point: Why would you be using "Rainbow Dragon" in your Deck? It is hard to summon, and does not really benefit you that much. "Thanks for the reply." You're welcome.
