Yang Xiao-Long
Hello, YCM. It's been a while, hasn't it? Thought I'd come by and visit for a little bit. And drop off a card here, too. I never really could stay away from the mythical species that is the dragon, anyway. Krineon, the Krimson KingRank 5DARKDragon-Type2800 ATK / 2300 DEFLore:2 Level 5 DARK Dragon-Type MonstersOnce per turn, when your opponent Summons a monster: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; take control of that card, or Banish it.Comments/Rates/Criticism/OCG fixes are appreciated; it's been like 4 months since I've looked at a Yu-Gi-Oh! card, so I'll take any help I can get to improve. - Minimania -
There's only six dark dragons that are level 5 and the only one I would ever play is Interplanetarypurplythorny dragon and this Xyz monster needs three of them. This isn't really worth it, because you could select a monster zone they have and take it, but in Yugioh, you could summon in any monster zone that you want, really. "But Mini, it says you can select which one it has to be in!" Yes, but there are alot of Spells/Traps that not only negate this effect, but also ones that destroy it, too. This isn't really worth it, unless there was support to go with it.
(GigaDrillBreaker)
Between Darkflare, purplythorny, and Vice Dragon, the problem with this card is not a matter of "there aren't enough valid materials" but rather "is it even worth it?" This card would be balanced at 2 materials considering how specific they are (perhaps with the ATK lowered to around 2800), and I feel that really, it could be simplified to something along the lines of forgetting about the whole zone bit, and just detaching to take control of the monster as it is summoned. In any case, I enjoy this as an alternative to Big Eye, and it can serve as an EEV target after you have done all the stuff it allows you to do. Also, gonna say it now, the existence of effect negation doesn't make effects bad.
