Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) while you have exactly 4 DARK monsters in your Graveyard and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card cannot be targeted by the effects of monsters your opponent controls.  Once per turn: You can pay 1000 Life Points; target 1 card on the field, and if you do, banish it.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 3 DARK monsters in your Graveyard and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. You can pay 1000 Life Points; target up to 3 cards on the field, and if you do, banish those targets. When this card destroys an opponent's monster: Inflict 800 damage to your opponent. You can only activate each effect of "Legend Night, Celestial Sovereign of Chaos" once per turn.[/spoiler]

Basically an idea that I coined in Zazu's "Create a Card" thread in Games (naming-wise). This is my take on own design.

Like I mentioned in the requirements, it should be a Level/Rank 8 monster, be at least 3000 ATK and have a effect that fits boss monsters.

I was considering adding "Your opponent cannot activate card effects in response to this card's activation" for the instant banish effect, but felt it would be pushing it.

Anyway, CnC/fix OCG, etc.

Well-written reviews will be repped.

Well, from what I do know, getting enough Dark Monsters in the Graveyard to summon this won't be all too difficult. And being able to Banish three of any cards for such a low cost just seems too much. You could fairly easily get this out, clear out any traps they may have set up, maybe some monsters, and get an attack off. Which is nearly guaranteed to do a little damage. I think it's pretty overpowered. It's not hard to summon, and the cost of the first ability is pretty much nothing compared to the advantage it gives you.

So you decided to make a boss which literally outclassed Dark Armed Dragon, considered one of the most powerful cards, in near every way? You don't need an exact number of DARKs in the Graveyard, just need to banish 3 DARKs. This means that decks such as Shaddoll and Burning Abyss will always be able to put it on the board as soon as they draw it. As a result, this takes off any drawback that Dark Armed Dragon has. Not a good start. Then, we have to consider that this doesn't target for timing, which means that you're allowed to target stuff and banish it when your effect resolves. This effectively makes it a triple Spellbook of Fate for banishing 3 DARKs once per turn. Then in the late stages of the game, it'll chip your opponent out if they play defensively but honestly the last effect is so fringe it's unreal.

So let's compare this to Dark Armed Dragon in terms of pros and cons:

+ Can be put down on the board at any time
+ Banishes instead of destroys
+ Doesn't target
+ Does 3 cards at the same time
+ 3000 > 2800
+ Level 8 so is able to overlay for cards such as Felgrand Divine Dragoon and Heliopolis

Now let's put the negatives..

- Not a Level 7 so you do not have access to Dracosack or Big Eye
- Banishes for summoning cost, but honestly this part will rarely ever matter outside of hurting Soul Charge set-up but decks like Burning Abyss and Shaddoll really won't care that much about that.
- Not a Dragon so not searchable by Eclipse Wyvern

So by comparison, we have 6 pros to 3 cons on how good of a card this is in comparison to Dark Armed Dragon. So you managed to make a better Dark Armed Dragon outside of Eclipse Wyvern decks. Except this one's actually a huge problem since he allows you to BANISH 3. Yeah... Reconsider the design on this, it's a really unfair card that is obvious you haven't polished.

...

How about:

You can pay 1000 LP and target up to 3 cards on the field; banish those targets.

3K Beater [Check]

Easy to SS [Check]

Banishes 3 cards on the field [Check]

Can atk the turn it banishes [Check]

3 cards to Banish wow... That is sooooooo Good.  And you make his Summoning Restriction a joke.  Banish 3 DARK monsters?  This is so ridiculously easy to Summon, and his effect, in my opinion, is stronger than JD's.  Not to mention this card with Shaddolls?  Oh no!

You can pay 1000 LP and target 1 card on the field; banish that target.

Sound fair? :)

Paying 1k LP to banish a card on the field; that works fine.

Sigh, I thought I put enough limiters on this thing, but apparently I didn't (and forgot about DaD for a brief moment). I knew I should've made it 3000LP or something for the 3-card banishing; why the hell did I not listen to myself...

I really need to read that guide Saber wrote, so this doesn't happen again. The last thing I need right now is an earful from that other member about how my cardmaking isn't up to par with this section, especially for someone in charge of it. (This is what happens when I try to design a good card to prove that I can keep this section in order + set a good example; my cardmaking is out of sync today.)

Anyway, I'm raising its Level to 9 and adding a 4 DARK [exactly] requirement in Graveyard, so it'll be harder to summon (though some Decks will be able to pull it off). ATK will be slashed slightly to 2900 [though that is still enough to destroy most threats]. Taking the above user's suggestion, I've nerfed it to one card for banishing for the same cost.

That being said, I did add a slight protection effect from targeting effects; guards against 101 to some extent, though Exciton and some other stuff will get rid of it easily.

--

Thanks to all of you for even taking the time to CnC this mess I made.

After this, I'm going to read that guide .Saber made very carefully, and hopefully when I design a card in the future, it won't be as broken as this one.

(I certainly don't intend to make broken cards; just happens when I try too hard to give it effects to make it worth the effort, but still keep it fair)

Moving this to AoC because the idea really bombed this time.
