Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower Machine-Type monster from your hand Deck.

 

I don't think I need to explain how subpar this card is.

So, as the title says, what if this card summoned from the Deck instead? I guess Synchron decks would get a boost by gaining a searcher for Tuningwares, Quillbolts, and whatnot; but which other decks out there would apprecciate this searcher that places the monster on the field? It could also be used in a similar way to E-Tele as an splashable Tuner engine.

The difference here, with things like E-Tele, is that the monsters you Summon typically don't do anything on there own.
Level 2 or lower Machines, however... You already mentioned Quillbolt/Tuningware who would lead into shenanigans, but you also have stuff like Unknown Synchron, and to an extent, Turbo Rocket, who in turn, would make those idiotic Quasar plays a little easier.

That would slim Deskbot OTK from 3 cards to 2 cards. Use this to get Deskbot 002, Dupe it and use its effect to search 001, then Normal Summon 001 and swing for 8500. Also it would search Cyber-Stein in Defense Position the OCG.
