Sooo... after being inactive for quite a while now (not like i was THAT active back then, i bet no one even remembers me~), i decided to make a new Archetype, mainly though to play with some friends. Thought i might aswell post it here. If you're not interested in the Archetype Idea and the Names then you can just skip this small text. Basically I wanted to create a semi-shift Archetype that is okay with stuff being banished, even banishing they own stuff or themselves to create advantage, so that it's not just another Graveyard-Archetype. They're LIGHT and DARK like tons of others but whatever, that came with the name: "Yokaru", consisting of the "Yo" in the beginning and the "ru" in the end from the japanese word "Yoru" meaning "night" and the "Karu" meaning "magic" and also the "Ka" maybe coming from "Hikari" which means "light". (I don't speak japanese so some of these might be wrong lol) Therefore the 2 Boss monsters also represent Light and Dark (Karui -> Light, Kuro -> Dark), so that's that. Idk what else to write here, so ima just start with the cards yo.

Yokaru Fallen Shadow

-You can banish this card from your hand; add 1 "Yokaru" monster from your Deck to your hand.

Yokaru Protecting Maid

I hope you liked the Archetype, i really put some work in there so i hope it's not complete garbage.

Cannot view the img links right now as currently viewing this on a work computer, so cannot comment on ATK / DEF or Artwork but I do like the ideas and syenergy you've created within this archtype. Banishing archtype are always a fine balance to make, cause banishing is, is personally, the strongest interactions within yugioh. Not a lot stops it.

 

Will CnC a bit more once I get home later, but first impressions. Rather good archtype.

Pretty interesting ^-^
Fallen shadow is essentially your lonesomefire blossom and +0 searcher as well which makes it quite powerful.
Protective maid nice for triggering Yakaru special summoning effects. The protection is nice too.
Black witch good +1 normal summon.
Warming Blaze seems to be a 1 card synchro or possible 1 card rank 4 summon. As a tuner it makes Flame Empress a bit underwhelming tuner in comparison.
Black Judgement quite powerful with it's banishing effect like a themed icarus attack.
Synchros text is kinda of overwhelming to read xD I like how its level changes to 11 for the xyz summon.
The deck synergy seems to work well nice archetype :D

Looking over I like the mechanic you have going on With the monsters. And you artwork is top notch. I still need to look over the other cards but I know whati like and I like what I see

After looking over you spell cards I would like to see Twilight snowstorm as a continuous spell. Possibly activate it by reviling one card in your hand. I say this because a good snowstorm should stick around

Thanks for the comments and opinions, I really appreciate them. As for the artworks, you just have to look through the sources given in this topic, all pics I use will propably be somewhere there. ('xept for Archive Keeper as for her I just slapped a render onto a background and that's that.)

@and1dodger: I know that Flame Empress is inferior to Warming Blaze, but i guessed that would just be kinda fair i mean if each of the tuners would be a 1-card-Synchro then the Deck would be a bit OP with the consistency and the offensives it has. It should only be possible with a brilliant, almost perfect hand to make a Kuro/Karui in the first turn, almost impossible even then, as they're both very powerful. Making Flame Empress a bit worse just made it balanced. :)

@jemjosher: True, a Snowstorm should really be around a bit longer, an error on my part. Any Idea how it'd be balanced then, i mean just revealing one card in your hand for an incredible boost to consistency every single turn seems not enough in my opinion, maybe i'll add a discard cost and make it a continuous.

Hey, saw you commented on my post so I came to look at your archetype.

 

Normally, I'm not a big fan of anime (which the art looks like it's from), but I really happen to like the artwork.

Also, I noticed that you added a Field Spell card for this archetype, but it seems like this archetype could also work with Chaos Zone. If a monster card was added that gains an effect when it is Special Summoned, then Chaos Zone might actually be viable in a deck with these cards.
