AncientGearGeneral Posted November 8, 2014 Report Share Posted November 8, 2014 When you normal or special summon a monster with "Ancient Gear" in its name, target 3 "Ancient Gear" monsters in your graveyard and equip them to the summoned monster. That monster gains attack equal to the three monsters combined attack. During your end phase, destroy that monster and take damage equivalent to half the attack of the destroyed monster. When an ancient gear monster is sent to the graveyard, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the level of the monster times 100. This card cannot be targeted by card effects. It's supposed to add a major advantage to beatdown gears but it has a major drawback if you lose a monster. [attachment=42840:image.jpg] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Trebuchet MS Posted November 8, 2014 Report Share Posted November 8, 2014 The issue is that no matter how you Summon them, the Ancient Gears don't stick around and you start paying through your nose in terms of LP. That is, unless you've already won the game. The card doesn't help the Ancient Gears with their Summoning difficulties and instead enforces a pseudo-Power Bond on them, whether you want it or not.
