Sapphowako Posted November 17, 2014 Report Share Posted November 17, 2014 Okay, so I'm working on idea's for a story, and the idea of a "Monarch" Number, being a part of the countless Numbers that Don Thousand created came up. This is the Monarch: Effect: 2 Level 6 “Monarch” Monsters You can remove one Xyz Material from this card to activate the following effect: Return up to five monsters from your graveyard to your hand. Control of this Card shifts to your Opponent until the End Phase. Your Opponent discards Three Cards. The wording of the effect is tricky. The wording is supposed to say that Player 1 returns 5 cards from the graveyard, then control of the Card goes to player 2. Player Two then must activate the second effect, discarding 3 cards from Player 1's hand. Any help would be appreciated! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Otherwise, as above user mentioned, card is counterproductive to the Monarch's avoidance of Extra Deck. I'll try to fix OCG 2 Level 6 “Monarch” Monsters You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card: Return up to 5 monsters in your Graveyard to your hand, then your opponent controls this card until the End Phase. During the End Phase, if this effect was activated (and was not negated), this card's controller's opponent discards 3 cards. The Card is supposed to go with a Dark World Deck, it's for the story. I thought it would add an interesting twist to a Dark World Deck, a twist that would be perfect for a villain. And maybe change the name to reflect the archetype you're trying to help. Even if you don't make it a named card said archetype. Myself and probably a good portion of people that first see this think this is somehow suppose to support Monarchs. Also the first part of the effect of returning 5 monsters is way too much. You should try to make it more realistic like 1 maybe 2 (if a specific type/attribute/name). Sakura done most of the ocg fixes I would make. Hope all that helps. Effect: 2 Level 4 "Dark World" Monsters You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card: Return up to 3 monsters in your Graveyard to your hand, then your opponent gains control of this card until your next Standby Phase. During the End Phase, if this effect was activated (and was not negated), this card's controller's opponent discards 2 cards. I changed it so the original owner of this card only gets to keep 1 card that was returned to the hand, and the rank reflects the fact that it is a Dark World card.
