yugiohmakermasta
Lore: When this card is activated select any number of monsters you control, tribute the selected monsters; then make your opponent Tribute monsters on their side of the field equal to the number of monsters you tributed (Min 1). Peridank
For a proper evaluation... is this used for tribute summoning? If not... Raigeki out classes it... BIG TIME. But that is a 1 limit... please clarify the effect abit...
yugiohmakermasta
For a proper evaluation... is this used for tribute summoning? If not... Raigeki out classes it... BIG TIME. But that is a 1 limit... please clarify the effect abit... This is a quick play where you can tribute monsters on your side of the field an then force your opponent to have to tribute their monsters. However they have to tribute a minimum of 1 card. The fact that it is a quick play is what set's it apart from raigeki
Flash Flyer - Sakura
http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Share_the_Pain In a nutshell, this card is a more liberal version of the above (tribute more of your 'mons, opponent has to tribute more of theirs). That's about it.
Peridank
I see... I... tbh... failed to see the quick play, it gives you opponent the option to chose the monsters they destroy. But it would be useful to wait until they have used materials to summon a monster, a chain to the summon would only leave a few options to negate. I quite like it, it uses the choice mechanic that keeps creature swap legal. Very nice! The sacrifice of you own monsters as a cost seems fair enough. A good back up would be nice... like a good ole mirror force would be nice. But that depends on what ya got... 7.3/
Valkyrus
http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Share_the_Pain In a nutshell, this card is a more liberal version of the above (tribute more of your 'mons, opponent has to tribute more of theirs). That's about it. I knew this card sounded familiar when I read it... Aside from that though, this is a quick-play which makes it better. so, as it is, it miiiight be teched in some obscure Hieratic deck. I'd say good job (if you didn't know share the pain existed that is.)
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Hieratics generally Tribute from hand from what I remember from experience on YGOPro, but it's a possibility since they can just regenerate monsters to replace the Tributed ones. But being Quick-Play makes it a little better for triggering things; and or messing up the opponent to some extent. And yeah, I just happened to recall Share the Pain after reading this, so you're not alone.
yugiohmakermasta
I kind of felt like share the pain was a bit too under-powered and I wanted something more versatile, I didn't think it was too broken. Also with the way it's worded the card affects the player and not the monsters themselves, so it gets over apoqiphort killer and anything that prevents targeting (At least that's how it was supposed to be designed) didn't want the opponent to be able to select how many they got to tribute I wanted that left up to the player who activated it, but I realized that wouldn't work.. example: then make your opponent Tribute monsters on their side of the field up to the number of monsters you tributed (Min 1). With it worded like that, you could tribute 4 monsters and the opponent then can select just 1, which is what I didn't want.
Peridank
Good catch, reword it to say tribute monsters up yo the number of monsters your opponent controls
