Lunar Origins
http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Stealth_Bird Of all the cards that I've seen used in this game, this is the one that has to have the most effect on me. I got into Yu-Gi-Oh! by way of this small GBA game (I forget which one), in which Marshmallon used a nifty burn deck to absolutely wreck you as soon as you get in the game. This monster was the star of the deck, and the 1000 burn every turn just absolutely made me hate going against him in my childhood. Nowadays, it's way outclassed by things, and 1700 DEF is laughable, but he does have a bit of a nostalgia factor. For me, at least.
newhat
It's designed for lockdown with Messenger of Peace and other effects that prevent battle in general, but it doesn't do as much damage as Watts. Is it easier to counter repeated Flip Summons or repeated attacks? Even under Messenger of Peace you can ram things into Stealth Bird to force-flip it and abuse the "double flip" ruling. Toffee.
You know.... Back in the day, I wished they made an Archetype out of this. Mostly, because predators with an exterior that lets them bend light to appear invisible sounds really fucking awesome. ....however, a whole burn archetype centered around 1000 damage would be stupid. Trebuchet MS
if they appear invisible, why can we see them? They're in the midst of decloaking, that's why.

evilfusion
Don't drift too far off topic. A lot of the "Reset Flip Summon" cards were really interesting...and then half of them were really meh. Stealth Bird was the most obnoxious due to being used primarily in Stall Burn Decks using Level Limit, Gravity Bind, Messenger of Peace, etc. 1700 DEF was nearly impossible to swing over with some monsters, and Messenger made it borderline impossible. While ramming this worked sometimes, it usually just prolonged the countdown to death, rather than really stop it.
