Aqua DP Archieve

Recommended Posts

Copied from Voltex (again). Basically,

In this thread I will collect the card singles I upload to DP so players can see what it's available from me and hopefully give them a try. Also I will include a short description of its intended purpose, in addition to rulings for players to come here and read or confirm how an effect is intended to work.

These are all under the "AQUA" tag.

Effect Monsters
TJEh9CU.jpg

If you control a face-up "Tellar" monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, then increase this card's Level by up to 5. You can only use this effect of "Maiden of Astromancy" once per turn. An Xyz Monster that was Summoned using this card as an Xyz Material gains these effects, depending on its name.
● "Constellar" monster: This card gains 300 ATK, also it cannot be targeted by card effects.
● "Tellarknight" monster: This card gains 300 DEF, also any card that would be sent to the Graveyard by this card (either by battle or by its effects) is banished instead.

A straightforward support for TCG archetypes like "Constellar" and that high-tier "Tellarknight". She's quite powerful if you have her in your hand at that moment when you're almost ready to Xyz, then Xyz and giving a Hexproof to Pleiades and boost its ATK to that of Felgrand, or giving Delteros/Triveil a huge upgrade for their effects.

Some Rulings: "Constellarknight Diamond" used this card for its Xyz Summon will gain both effects. Furthermore if it negate an effect of a DARK monster and that monster would be destroyed
, that monster will be banished. (This is not applied for any DARK monster that's in the Graveyard or Main Deck when Diamond's effect resolve, due to monsters from said locations cannot be destroyed.)

qa7StPp.jpg

If you control a face-up "Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Infernos", you can Special Summon this card (from your hand or Graveyard). You cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except FIRE monsters. You can only Special Summon "Emby, Dragon Tamer of Infernos" once per turn this way. When this card is Normal Summoned: You can send 1 Level 7 FIRE Dragon-Type monster from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard; draw 1 card.

1-of along with Blaster and you're good to go with the engine. For TCG you still have Crimson Blader and can just Summon this after you've done everything, but for DP if you have any FIRE deck that focusing around Synchro, then this engine is not bad as a choice!

D6HdIJ4.jpg

While this card is in the Graveyard and "Zombie World" is face-up on the field, that face-up card is unaffected by other card effects, also neither player can activate an effect of Field Spell Cards. You can banish this card from your hand or Graveyard; add 1 "Zombie World" from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. You can only use the effect of "Sephtia, Princess of the Underworld" once per turn.

The card that I designed as a Zombie-Type support for 1v1 tournament's first round before submitting Nethersoul Witch instead. She can get you Zombie World while also protecting said field with another copy or some cards that return the banished cards to Graveyard.

QMIM1wW.jpg

When this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up, if you control no other face-up Effect Monsters: You can add 1 "Faustian Bargain" and 1 Level 4 or lower Normal Monster from your Deck to your hand. You cannot Special Summon Effect Monsters during the turn you activate this effect. You can only activate the effect of "Mephistopheles" once per turn.

Straightforward Vanilla support. Sadly that the deck sucks badly without Pendulum, so I'll only leave some tips here: You can bypass this card's restriction by using a non-effect ED monsters like Gaia Knight, Scrap Archfiend or Pearl, though it kinda wastes space, both Main and Extra Deck.

29k6Y45.jpg

When this card is Normal Summoned while you control no other cards: You can Tribute this card, then target 1 monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it. If you would take damage: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; reduce that damage to 0, and if you do, draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Templar Chevalier" once per duel.

My first card here that's searchable. Basically it turns ROTA that you drew while losing into a Monster Reborn with furthermore Defense Draw from Graveyard. She is definitely an interesting tech since first turn ROTA + Foolish now become SS anything from your Deck while having a Defense Draw ready in your Graveyard

qzx7iT6.jpg

You can discard 1 card; add 1 "Book of Life" from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. During your Main Phase: You can banish this card and 2 Zombie-Types monster from your Graveyard; Special Summon 1 "Dragonecro Nethersoul Dragon" from your Extra Deck or Graveyard. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.) You can only use 1 "Nethersoul Witch" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

Follow Voltex's trend of Myrmyleo-esque, though this one is not so generic given what she can search, and she need a discard cost for searching, for the exchange of being able to use it more often. Her Graveyard effect let you run one of the deck's boss that normally wouldn't be used because the need of Fusion Spell.

p1p3eq9.jpg

If this card is in your hand: You can target 1 face-up WIND monster you control; if that target is face-up on the field, Special Summon this card from your hand, then this card's Level becomes the level of that monster. If you activated this effect, you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except WIND monsters. You can only use the effect of "Mythic Sky Dragon" once per turn.

Not much to say here, it's basically Xyz enabler without any drawback for any pure WIND deck, or an insta-Dracossack for any Deck with Tempest that can search this card beforehand.
Fusion Monsters
OLIiLDy.jpg

2 WATER monsters
During either player's Main Phase: You can send the above cards you control or from your hand to the Graveyard; Special Summon this card from your Extra Deck. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.) When this card is Special Summoned OR when it is sent to the Graveyard to activate a WATER monster's effect: Send 1 WATER monster from your Deck to the Graveyard; gain 800 Life Points. You can only Special Summon "Poseidia, the Atlantean Princess" once per turn.

What's so good about this card isn't how she pushed Merlantean at least a tier, but the fact that she's generic WATER Lv.4 that can be dropped when you brick while also net you a new card. [I actually never tried any WATER deck, just tried, too much advantage] In Merlantean she's a must, but for other WATER deck it totally depends on your ED space.

Ruling: Since her SS eff is treated as Fusion Summon, she can be Summoned later via stuffs like COTH or even Noden, and in fact that's viable strategy in Merlantean since you still get to mill any of your Atlantean for its negated eff.
Synchro Monsters
zoenQH6.jpg

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
During the turn this card is Synchro Summoned, it gains 300 ATK and is unaffected by your opponent's card effects. if this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can shuffle this card from your Graveyard into the Extra Deck; gain 300 Life Points.

Pretty simple, a low level 1-turn Star Eater that has 49's recycle effect while also heal a little. And with this, Crusader series probably have more members ^ ^.

VintkwD.jpg

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
You can pay 1000 Life Points, then target 1 card on the field; destroy it. If this card is destroyed by battle or by card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon this card in face-up Defense Position. You can only use 1 "Eternity Crusader" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

Not much to say here, it's a generic Lv.6 with a OPT spot removal and self-revival. In any non-machine deck that can make Lv.6, I suggest this over Dharma

u8gfuk0.jpg

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can banish 1 Spell/Trap Card your opponent controls. If this card in your possession is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect) and sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon it from the Graveyard. You can only use this effect of "Guardian of the South - Suzaku" once per turn.

It was initially designed to target and pop a S/T on SS, but since that effect in conjunction with its self-revival can cause a huge disadvantage to opponent, I balanced it so that it now has better removal, but only worked once. If your Deck didn't run Rekindling for whatever purpose, I suggest Eternity Crusader over this, or if your ED has space, go for both.

vmkjO6T.jpg

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

During the turn this card is Synchro Summoned, Spell/Trap Cards and their effects cannot be activated. Once, while this card is face-up on the field: You can target 1 face-up card on the field; negate its effects.

An ED Blizzard Princess with a 1-use perma-negation. Not much to say here, either.

g9j2lbS.jpg

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

Cannot be flipped face-down by your opponent's card effects. When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can target 1 face-down card on the field; banish it. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can pay 800 Life Points, then target 1 face-up monster on the field; change it to face-down Defense Position. An effect of that monster that activate on the field cannot be activated for the rest of this turn.

BoM, period.
Xyz Monsters
euSNz1w.jpg

2 Level 3 monsters

When this card is attacked: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the attack and switch that attacking monster to face-up Defense Position. The following effects can only be applied/resolved while this card has Xyz Material attached that was originally WIND. Cannot be targeted by card effects. If this card is Special Summoned: You can target 1 card on the field; return it to the hand, and if you do, this card gains 300 ATK.

A generic R3 that has a mere stall effect on not so big body, but with position change that could render most monsters weaker, it's not that bad, just mediocre. But her true potential is to be shown when she has a WIND monster as an ORU. With Hexproof, 1-use bounce and a little stat boost that make it stronger than practical R3, she's not bad choice if your deck has at least 1 Level 3 WIND and can make R3.

xU8p3FE.jpg

2 Level 4 monsters

While this card has an Xyz Material attached that was originally DARK, it cannot be targeted by card effects. If this card is Xyz Summoned while it has Xyz Material attached that was originally Spellcaster-Type: You can draw 1 card. Once per turn, during your Standby Phase: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Level 4 or lower Fiend-Type or Zombie-Type monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it in face-up Defense Position. You can only control 1 "Candy, the Hallowitch".

Halloween theme card for that holiday contest, this one, too, haven't been submitted because changing. Also from suggestions, it was nerf'd hardly. Now to SS something you need to detach and it no longer detach to protect itself, but I added Hexproof so that you'd completely lose your 2 Level 4 into nothing.

eI5rWUi.jpg

2 Level 4 FIRE monsters

While you control only FIRE monsters, this card cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. Once per turn, during your Main Phase OR when this card is targeted for an attack: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 card on the field; destroy it (this is a Quick Effect.) Once, while this card is face-up on the field: You can banish 1 FIRE monsters from your Graveyard; attach 1 FIRE monster from your Graveyard to this card as an Xyz Material.

A weaker Pleiades for FIRE. Even with extremely low stat, but Hexproof with a disruptive effect should worth an ED space for any pure FIRE deck that can make R4.

gAwqwqj.jpg

2 Level 4 monsters

If you have less Life Points than your opponent, you can also Xyz Summon this card using 1 Level 4 monster you control as the Xyz Material. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: Gain Life Points equal to the battle damage inflicted. Once per turn, when you gain Life Points: Draw 1 card. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; this turn, this card can attack your opponent directly. You can only control 1 "Soulink Apprentice".

Born from Lifelink-esque requirement, she's my first attempt to make LP gain deck relevant, though in general she could be a better choice than N82, especially when you're at disadvantage.

Zr5E5uE.jpg

2 Level 4 WATER Monsters
If this card is Special Summoned: You can target 1 monster in your Graveyard; attach it to this card as an Xyz Material. This card gains 200 ATK for each Xyz Material attached to it. Once per turn, when a Level 4 or lower monster activates its effect: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate that effect.

Pretty strong turn 1 monster if you could. 2.4 body on proper Xyz Summon is not weak either. Also it'd be hilarious to see any of you make this along with Clear Wing.

mV68b86.jpg

2 Level 4 monsters

While this card has an Xyz Material that was originally Fairy-Type WATER, it cannot be destroyed by battle or be targeted by card effect. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 face-up Spell/Trap card on the field; negate its effects and Set it face-down. That card cannot be activated while this card is face-up on the field.

Generic S/T delayer, she'll has Aria's protection if Overlaid with WATER Fairy, and fortunately one of our 1 card R4 actually has that typing

J0LbgYl.jpg

2 Level 4 Warrior-Type monsters

If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. Once per turn, during either player's Battle Phase: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; have this card attacks 1 monster your opponent controls (this is a Quick Effect). If this card attacks with this effect, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the damage step, also this card gains 200 ATK after damage calculation.

A warrior-exclusive that can act as Armades on your opponent's turn and ended up as Gaia Dragon if survive 2 turns. His ATK is buffed a bit from the 1v1 thx to Voltex's suggestion, also I did a minimal name change so that it more fit the favor.

sxjAMQP.jpg

2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; it gains 500 ATK until the end of this turn. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle while it has Xyz Material attached that was originally EARTH Warrior-Type: You can target 1 card on the field; banish it.

Not much aside from being a 2 turns 2.8 beater, though if you used Halberd or Goblindbergh for this, that 2.8 body would suddenly become a treat.

Q7vuJvX.jpg

2 Level 7 monsters

While this card has an Xyz Material attached that was originally Wyrm-Type, it is unaffected by other card effects. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 card on the field or in either player's Graveyard; banish it. If you activated this effect, this card cannot attack for the rest of this turn.

Voltex's waifu A card that won Voltex's last contest. Basically it's a Sack with better stat and removal but lacks protection. However, things will be different if you overlaid at least 1 Lv.7 Wyrm for this card (which is really hard for current TCG, but I doubt it here).
Counter Traps
aJBiIQn.jpg

When a Trap Card or an effect of a Trap Card is activated while you have no other face-up Trap Cards and have no Trap Cards in your Graveyard, except "Cyber Energy Forcefield"; negate its activation, and if you do, destroy it. You can banish 1 other "Cyber Energy Forcefield" from your Graveyard; add this card from your Graveyard to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Cyber Energy Forcefield" once per turn.

In short: a replacement of 3 Decree, but not for 3 Vanity.

ZLsJ1BO.jpg

When a monster effect is activated on the field: Negate the activation, then shuffle that monster into the Main Deck. If this Set card is destroyed by your opponent's card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can gain 1000 Life Points.

A costless Divine's Wrath, with the downside of cannot hitting an ED monster which is more powerful in general, so it may not so good atm, but after Pendulum being added, I hope to see this as a stable side.
And like usual Custom Cards thread, CnC would be appreciated :)

I like the cards you add to the Synchro and Xyz pools.

- Suzaku: The Spell/Trap banish effect should target in my opinion, just to be safe.

- Sakuya: Can bounce either monsters or Spell/Traps up to two times, can reach an ATK above the Rank3 standard, is backed up by a 1-time protection against attacks and can be further benefited if you use WINDs as material. I think it does too much for a generic Rank3. Also, not even Castel/S.H.Ark/Swordmistress come with a 2-time removal effect so you may have to nerf the bouncing effect to require its 2 materials.

- Pyranger: We have already discussed this card. It looks too strong but at the same time it is bound to FIRE Rank4 decks, which in a way keeps it on check. I will wait to see it being played and then evaluate if it needs a nerf or not.

- Icicle Valkyria: same case as Pyranger: strong but bound to Rank4 WATERs. Good to see that it is not entirely outclassed by Bahamut Shark, a difficult WATER-material Rank4 standard to beat. However, it looks like it outclasses Gandiva, and that makes the card's balance questionable since outclassing official cards is not a good thing to do in cardmaking.
