newhat
If this face-up card is destroyed while in a Monster Card Zone, you can place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card, instead of sending it to the Graveyard. While this card is treated as a Continuous Spell Card by this effect, during each player'sStandby Phase: Place 1 Pumpkin Counter on this card. All monsters your opponent controls lose 100 ATK and DEF for each Pumpkin Counter on this card. This card represents a threshold in Yu-Gi-Oh!: a pack filler common, whose effect triggers on destruction by battle or effect. I used to think KONAMI wanted to enforce a tiered meta like Smogon, with archetypes like Fire Fists, Qliphorts and Inzektors naturally strong and streamlined for Tier 1, clunky archetypes like Mecha Phantom Beasts, Infernoids designed to fight each other in a lower tier, and extra-chromosome design like Performapals and Banisharks in a slap war. But this card is too solid to be garbage and too slow to be viable.
VampireofDarkness
The dumb things this card can do with Ragnazero....... I remember seeing that as a Deck actually. Pretty hilarious
Toffee.
...kinda' wish you could Set this card to also gain the effect, for the added surprise factor.'Course, that would likely be asking for too much, OR would just play with the mindgame on a much higher level. evilfusion
Cool, it gains a Counter during every player's Standby Phase. That's some potent ATK/DEF drain after a few turns. It is too slow and easily removed, but it does seem amusing.
