See the card ideas in the below 'spoilers' [spoiler=Monsters][/spoiler] [spoiler=Spells][/spoiler] [spoiler=Traps][/spoiler] [spoiler=Royal Summoning/Kingdom Deck Explanation]So, the closest thing I could think of "Royal" summoning is, is ritual summoning. Except, "Royal" monsters are kept in the extra deck and will always require at leas 1 "Peasant" card tribute. "Royal" monsters can only be summoned with the effects of "Royal Blood" which limits the amount of "Royal" monsters you can summon per duel to 3 limiting their overpowered-ness. "So, what about this 'Kingdom Deck' thing you are talking about?" You are probably wondering, so I will answer! "Kingdom" decks are highly centralized decks that can only be at their full potential when it contains it's corresponding "Royal" card and field spell, the effects of cards in such decks would be very powerful but dependent on only a few cards to activate or be used to it's fullest potential How do i see "Royal"/"Kingdom" decks being used in other decks? Well, "Kingdom Decks" can work with just about any kind of group or civilization to work well together. Want to make a deck centralized around vampires? "Kingdom Deck"! Want to make a Greek Mythology deck full of gods/esses? There is a king of the gods, isn't there? I hope people have fun with this idea, if you do use it in cards you make i would love to see your ideas, send me a link to your post through messages![/spoiler] Do tell me what you think in the comments! Spent a good few days making these cards (and about an hour puting this post together). However, like any project there can be flaws! Tinkerer Posted January 27, 2015 Report Share Posted January 27, 2015 I'm still a little confused about royal summoning, are the king cards located in the extra deck? As it is, I really like the concept and the cards (especially goblin tinkerer!), I just have a few things I wanted to mention/ask. 1) I'm sure you know about the some already existing goblin cards. Scrounging goblin would be able to search out any card. Also, using tinkerer, you would be able to add already existing goblin traps to your hand (robbin goblin/goblin fan). 2) if I may ask, what's up with all the lvl 5 normals? 3) Plundering is a little OP. Due to the wording, if you have no goblin cards, it's basically pot of greed. 4) Some OCG errors, but that's not my forte... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
crusadorzach Posted January 27, 2015 Author Report Share Posted January 27, 2015 ah, i just noticed that goblin baby is 5 stars, that is not how it is supposed to be, as far as the already existing goblin cards, i don't see any clashing with it to be honest, pot of greed is a banned card anyway so where it matters plundering is not really overpowered. I do and yes, "Royal" cards are located in the extra deck, however, "peasant" cards and "Royal Blood" will be main deck cards. i think what happened with goblin baby being level 5 is i made it using the already existing "Fat Goblin" and just forgot to change it's level, i will get right on fixing that! Thanks for showing an interest in my idea though i was starting to think no one was gonna like it, hahahah. I did some thinking about already existing cards though and i think that they would be interesting additions to the deck, however they wouldn't be as great when you have the right cards out. The idea behind "Kingdom Decks" is having a certain set of cards you want to get out and then protect them. So, it is better to just get the 5 "Goblins" you want out and not worry about the ones that already exist since they don't synergize as well. As for the other 2 level 5 normals, they are for if you are having trouble getting the right cards out... sort of a backup plan, really. (Sorry i kinda jumped back and forth on your questions, i answered them in the order i thought of them xD) I'll fix "Goblin Baby" really quick and do one more check over the other cards that i have made and goblin cards that already exist and see what may need changed! crusadorzach Posted January 27, 2015 Author Report Share Posted January 27, 2015 Hm, i took a look at that "Goblin Fan" card that exists already... i feel that that card isn't too badly broken with this goblin deck, considering there are a few 2 or lower leveled cards in it and i would imagine you would be originally setting them and not normal summoning them, as that would leave them defenseless... The only card i think might pose a problem for being misused and overpowered would be hard selling goblin, especially with the effects of goblin kingdom keeping your goblins indestructible once per turn... that is basically trading a bit of life to get rid of pesky spells and traps.... though, that seems not too bad I feel like it could be argued that that is a bit too powerful... However, there are plenty of cards to combat it's effects... I feel that it would be a good addition if anything to a goblin deck. One main reason i only made 30 of these archetype cards is to leave room for cards that already exist, there is one good example right there! As far as scrounging goblin, that card would synergize pretty well, but i don't feel it is too overpowered since your opponent can negate the activation of its effects... Ah, i did not realize there was a "Goblin King" card already, which is strange since it is in my fiend deck in DN xD i will fix that... King of Goblins sounds good but then i gotta change ALL the card's effects... I guess i might as well also update the imgur link since i didn't when i fixed goblin baby, considering such a large change will be taking place... This is gonna take a bit...
