The xyz summon of this card cannot be negated. If this card is xyz summoned, you can detach all its xyz material; choose any number of your monster card zones and the same number of your opponent's monster card zones; during this duel those zones can each have 1 additional monster placed in them. A monster zone can only gain the effect of "Time Space Distorter" once per duel. When this card you control is destroyed and sent to your Graveyard: Draw 1 card.

 

Rulings notes:

The extra capacity of the monster zones behave like additional zones for cards like Multiply (eg Multiply gives you 10 tokens if you add capacity to all your zones and don't control any monsters when it resolves). Also, you can activate scapegoat when you already have 5 monsters out if you've added capacity to at least 4 of your zones.

I presume that exceeding the max capacity of a monster card zone would physically look like an overlay of some sort.

If this can actually manage to work, I can see it being used with psychic life gain and soul charge, or something similar.

Considering that I have a soft spot for the psychic life-point-control, (and that I usually try to run 2 Soul Charge in a typical deck) I really like the look of this card.

 

I also presume that this card would still work with the Seal of Orichalcos, considering the monster zones would still have the extra capacity, and that when this card is destroyed by the seal's effect you still draw a card.

 

Unfortunately when I look at rank 4 xyz I see a lot of relatively top tier picks (101, Utopia, Gear, etc) so this card has a lot of competition.

 

Personally, I really like this card, and for a deck based around it that benefits from 'flooding' the board, this card would be essential.

I regrettably think that if this card is going to be able to compete with all of the other top tier rank 4 xyz that it still needs something, The benefit from it being destroyed makes it difficult to determine what the best option(s) would be.

If there is a lot of synergy with this specific card, I can see it being a top tier for very specific decks.

I would still hesitate to recommend this card in as large a variety of decks as some of the other rank 4 xyz (Due to cards like torrential being popular).

Good card though, and I like the name.
