Darj
Target 2 "Star Drawing" in your Graveyard; Special Summon both those targets. If those cards are used as Xyz Materials and would be sent to the Graveyard, banish them instead. Immediately after this card resolves, Xyz Summon 1 Xyz Monster using those 2 monsters only. Yeah, thought on making a card designed to abuse Star Drawing's effect, and here is what I came up with: Basically a monster-specific "Advanced Heraldry Art". It needs a bit of setup by requiring at least 2 Star Drawings in the grave, but the reward is huge: A 2-material Rank 4~5 plus 2 card draws, all from a single Spell Card. It also banishes the Star Drawings afterwards to disable other copies and leave it as a "1-of" card at best. Posting it in Casual section because of its "awesome but impractical" traits, plus it is not exactly a fair card once you set it up. Thoughts? Toffee.
Tempted to say you could get away with it being without the Banish drawback, given the fact that it MUST pick 2 Drawings, and would otherwise render future copies of this card dead.'Course, given the payoff, it's understandable why it does that. Darj
Hmm, to make the card more playable I could allow it to revive up to 2 Star Drawings, so it will be live as long as you have at least 1 copy in the grave and, and after banishing 2 Stars, a second copy of this card could become live if there is a 3rd Star Drawing in the grave. I would have to remove the last clause, though.
Toffee.
Quick-question for you: Were you really designing this to be a 1-of card? Not saying it's bad, since I'm just curious.
Darj
Well yes, because my initial concept was to Summon 2 Star Drawings at once to draw 2 cards, then I realized that after setting it up you could use multiple copies of this card for ridiculous pluses; and placing at least 2 Stars in the grave shouldn't be too difficult in a semi-dedicated deck with Foolish, Mathman, Lavalval Chain, etc. Hence the drawback of banishing the Stars after use. Cirrus
I don't think this would be that amazing even without some of its drawbacks. It suffers from "awesome but impractical" syndrome; sure you could try to get some good stuff out of this card but is it worth it? I don't really think so. It's a fine card, just very narrow. Darj
I don't know, I think a Deck dedicated to Star Drawing + this could turn out stupid. For instance, Summoner Monk --> Star Drawing --> Lavalval Chain would set it up; then Mathman and Star are Spellcasters so in theory you could tech Dark Renewal to search for Monk. Yes, perhaps the deck wouldn't be competitive, but a card that gives you a Rank4~5 + 2 card draws is strong and I believe it needs moderation regardless of its impact on the game. Anyways, I guess the mandatory "target 2" is too restrictive, so I will loosen it to "up to 2". Still hesitant to remove the banish drawback because it is what keeps the card on check.
