J-Max
I will be honest that this is more of a Idea then a solid foundation for a card. Well here goes.... Tributation Spell/Continuous Tribute up to 2 monsters that you control. You cannot Summon monsters while this card is on your field. Activate 1 of the following effects depending on the number of monsters Tributed. 1 monster: Declare 1 Attribute OR Type. Once per turn, when your opponent Summons a monster of the selected Attribute or Type, you can gain control of it. 2 monsters: Declare 1 Attribute and Type. Once per turn, when your opponent Summons a monster of the Selected Attribute or Type, you can gain control of it.
Gold_Armor
The effects of 1 monster tribute and 2 monsters tribute are the same.. Please Explain it more.. I cannot see any differences.
J-Max
1 Monster allows you t choose one or the other. 2 Monsters gives you the options of Both together meaning if your opponent summons a monster with the Attribute OR the Type that you selected you gain control of it. The 1 Monster Tribute only allows you one of the options.
Progenitor
Nah not a fan. Once per turn Snatch steal screws over so many decks (Except Qli cuz Qli just doesn't care in general), especially since you get to choose what to steal. Horu
Problem with this is your whole strategy becomes dependant on this card. Since it negates your ability to summon anything. Also when you use both attribute and type in combination with each other, it doesn't mean one or the other. It means both conditions must be met for said effect to take place. If I declare LIGHT Dragon then I gain control of whatever LIGHT Dragon monster my opponent decides to summon. This tends to be useless since my opponent isn't going to hand me a free Blue-Eyes. More specifically they'd summon something like Blade Knight since it doesn't meet both of the declared attribute and type requirements and I can't take control of it. The creator worded it correctly. You pick 1 Type and 1 Attribute. If your opponent Summons a monster of the selected type or attribute, you take it. Just because there are 2 targets doesn't mean the condition needs to be fulfilled with both of them.

But if your opponent knows your entire strategy depends on their summon then they're likely not gonna give you anything useful.

If your opponent doesn't want you to take anything then unless they have a way to pop this thing have fun not playing the freakin game.
J-Max
Just to confirm that this is indeed a type of Lockdown. Actually more of a Side Card looking at it now. I was considering making it not being able to Special Summon only but not sure if this would push it to OP'ed. Also yes it is a Snatch Steal but only once per turn. You are at the moment locking out all Summons for yourself.
