~British Soul~
During the Battle Phase, if a monster(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect: Target 1 of those monsters; that target is not destroyed, its effects are negated, also switch control of it with 1 monster your opponent controls. If a monster whose control was switched by this effect is destroyed, Special Summoned it to its owner's field. discuss?
Atypical-Abbie
Huh, that card doesn't actually work in the real game, go figure.

Atypical-Abbie
How not? You cannot target a card that would be destroyed with an effect that makes it not destroyed, because at the time of resolution, it would already be destroyed before it could even be protected. This is why those kinds of protections are always Continuous Effects.

evilfusion
You can activate it in response to an effect that destroys cards, if it would affect your monster, similar to how Starlight Road activates in response to an effect that would destroy 2 or more of your cards. Whereas Road negates the activation of said card, this does NOT negate the activation, but allows it to resolve without destroying your monster. All other monsters that would be destroyed still are. Atypical-Abbie
uh... what? Just know that it doesn't work, don't think about it, ok. Whereas Road negates the activation of said card, this does NOT negate the activation, but allows it to resolve without destroying your monster. All other monsters that would be destroyed still are. Wording would have to be different then, it would have to say "if an effect is activated that would destroy a monster(s) you control: Target 1 of those monsters; that target cannot be destroyed by that effect" instead. Right now, it acts more like Silent Honor right now, which doesn't work for activated effects. Regardless, there's also the battle protection as well, which also doesn't work. I agree, a RL release will probably be worded differently, and you know why? Because this is a rough translation of the anime text based on the written lore and the context it was used. Of course it's not always going to be translated into flawless PSCT (which is a TCG thing, not OCG), and the anime tends to use strange activation timings that the RL game doesn't, especially when it comes to (not) being destroyed by battle. newhat
You can At any rate, it's a slow version of TG Swap that doesn't work in the Main Phase. Lose a battle to trade a low-value monster for your opponent's high-value monster. You could also double-trigger your own Graveyard effects. It doesn't work against Damage Step shenanigans. Dimensional Prison is probably better.
