Just a few Synchro monster

My first design cards. Hope you like it. :)

 

1. [spoiler Jasper Warrior (all version)]

Jasper Warrior

LEVEL 9 / EARTH / WARRIOR / SYNCHRO / EFFECT

ATK 3000 / DEF 2700

1 Tuner monster + 1 or more non-Tuner monster.
Must be Synchro summon and cannot summon by other ways.①: Once per turn, banish one Synchro monster in your graveyard, this card gains the banished monster attack until the End phase. If you do, other monster you control cannot declare an attack. ②:When this card is sending from your field to graveyard, you can banish this card from your graveyard, special summon one Level 8 or lower "Warrior" Synchro monster from your graveyard.

 

My suggestion:

1. ①: Replacing the cost to one Level N or lower Synchro monster and remove the attack limit cost.

Jasper Warrior

LEVEL 9 / EARTH / WARRIOR / SYNCHRO / EFFECT

ATK 3000 / DEF 2700

1 Tuner monster + 1 or more non-Tuner monster.
Must be Synchro Summoned and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways.
Once per turn, you can banish one monster in your Graveyard; this card gains the halve of the banished monster's ATK until the end of the turn. Other monsters you control cannot declare an attack the turn you active this effect. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 Level 6 or lower monster in your banished zone; Special Summon that target.

LEVEL 8 / DARK / WARRIOR / SYNCHRO / EFFECT

ATK 2800 / DEF 2400

1 Tuner monster + 1 "Red-Eyes Black Dragon"
Must be Synchro summon and cannot summon by other ways. ①:Once per turn, banish one DARK attribute monster in your graveyard, destroy one card on the field. ②:When this card is sending from your field to graveyard, you can special summon one "Red-Eyes" monster from your hand or graveyard.

 

My suggestion:

1) ①: Cost range change to hand or graveyard.

2) ②: Special summon range change to hand, deck or graveyard.

Quasar Warrior

LEVEL 12 / LIGHT / WARRIOR / SYNCHRO / EFFECT

ATK 4000 / DEF 4000

1 Tuner Synchro monster + 2 or more non-Tuner Synchro monster
Must be Synchro summon and cannot summon by other ways. ①:Once per turn, when your opponent declare an attack, you can negate the attack and destroy that monster and inflict the destroy monster attack damage to your opponent life point. ②:When this card is targeted by your opponent cards effect, you can banish any monster that used as Synchro material to summon this card, negate and destroy that card. ③When this card is leaving from field, you can special summon one Level 8 or lower "Warrior" Synchro monster from your extra deck.

 

My suggestion:

1) ①: Remove the inflict damage part.

2) ②: Change the cost target from all Synchro material to all non-Tuner Synchro material.

3) ③: Replacing special summon condition from leaves the field to destroy by battle and/or card effect.

4) ③: Changing the special summon range from extra deck to graveyard.

5) Reduce the ATK and/or DEF to around 3500.

[spoiler Quasar Warrior V2]

Quasar Warrior

LEVEL 12 / LIGHT / WARRIOR / SYNCHRO / EFFECT

ATK 4000 / DEF 4000

1 Tuner Synchro monster + 2 or more non-Tuner Synchro monster
Must be Synchro Summoned and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways.
When this card is Synchro Summoned successfully, you can select and returns card on the field to its owner's deck(or hand, I'm not sure), up to the number of non-Tuner Synchro monster used as Synchro material for this card. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when your opponent actives a card or effect that targets any Face-up card/s you control: You can negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. When this card leaves the field: You can Special Summoned 1 Level 8 Dragon-Type or Warrior-type Synchro monster from your Extra Deck. You only can active this effect once per duel.

I find that both effects are rather contradictory and such requires planning over what to eat for the boost versus what to Special Summon when this card leaves the field. Applying the Level restriction to the first effect will just make it harder to use.

Must be Synchro Summoned and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. ①:Once per turn: You can banish one DARK attribute monster in from your Graveyard, destroy then target 1 card on the field; destroy that target. ②:When this card is sent from your the field to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 "Red-Eyes" monster from your hand or Graveyard.[/spoiler]

With knowledge of the Red-Eyes support coming in CORE, this card will certainly get a fair number of toys to work with. At the moment, the strongest monster you can pull out is Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon (which is a problem if you pull it out from your Deck), but since this card is a Warrior, it won't have much trouble in recursive interactions. First effect is fine as it is.

Must be Synchro Summoned and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. ①:Once per turn, when your opponent declares an attack: You can negate the attack and destroy the attacking monster, and if you do, inflict the destroy monster attack damage to your opponent life point equal to the destroyed monster's original ATK in the Graveyard. ②:During either player's turn, when your opponent activates a card or effect that targets this card is targeted by your opponent cards effect: You can banish any 1 of this card's Synchro Material Monsters that used as Synchro material to summon this card from your Graveyard; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it that card. ③When this card is leaves the from field: You can special summon 1 Level 8 or lower "Warrior" Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck.[/spoiler]

This puts it at direct odds with Shooting Quasar Dragon, considering the similar conditions.

 

Quasar can do a minimum of 2 attacks each coming off its 4000 ATK and gives free negations each turn. Compared to this card's first and second effects, Quasar Warrior is just overshadowed. Its first effect can be avoided by the opponent choosing not to attack anyway (very few will willingly go against a 4000 ATK monster unassisted), and the second effect has trouble handling non-targeting destruction. As for the final effect, I'm sure we'd all prefer to pull out a free Shooting Star Dragon (that has a wide variety of effects itself) rather than any of the Warrior Synchro Monsters (although I must agree that Nitro Warrior's pretty solid).

 

Good work, though. They just tend to be overshadowed a little compared to existing alternatives.
