Ancient Archetype

Alright! Let's start things off with a brief intro to the archetype. The Ancient archetype consists on level 3 LIGHT tuners and level 4 DARK monsters that focus on field spells mostly, granted it is still a work in progress. Side note, this deck is meant to be used with the existing Ancient synchro dragons.

 

Ancient Spellbreaker, Shala

LIGHT
Level 3

Spellcaster/Tuner/Effect

Once per turn, you can destroy 1 field spell card on the field; add 1 "Ancient" card from your deck to your hand. If this card is destroyed by the effect of a field spell; gain 1000 life points.

1200/2000

 

What ties this archetype together, also combos rather well with certain cards.

 

 

Ancient Knight, Sin

DARK
Level 4

Warrior/Effect

If this card destroys a monster by battle, if you control a field spell card; gain life points equal to the destroyed monster's ATK. 

If this card destroys a monster by battle, if you do not control a field spell card; add 1 field spell card from your deck to your hand.

1800/1000

 

Field spell searcher/life point gainer, nuff said.

 

 

Ancient Assassin, Rihat

DARK
Level 4

Warrior/Effect

If you control a field spell, you can Special Summon this card (From your hand).

1100/1000

 

Pretty much, Rihat exists just to speed up the synchro summoning.

 

 

Ancient Wizard, Bel 

LIGHT
Level 3

Spellcaster/Tuner/Effect

You can discard this card; add 1 field spell from your deck to your hand. 

1300/2100

 

Clearly a field spell searcher, nuff said.

 

Ancient City - Babylon 

Field spell

Once per turn, you can destroy all "Ancient" monsters you control; gain 500 life points for every monster destroyed.

You must have these many life points to activate and resolve these effects. 

● 1000+: This card cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects.

● 4000+: Once per turn, you can inflict damage to your opponent equal to the number of "Ancient" monsters you control x 500, you cannot gain life points the turn you activate this effect.

● 8000+: Once per turn, you can Special Summon a "Ancient" monster from your graveyard.

● 16000+: Once per turn, you can halve both player's life points.

 ● 30000+: You win the duel.

All I could think of is using Shala with Geartown. Easy +1 with a summon of a 3000 Ancient Gear + A search for an Ancient Gear monster (or Bel to set up a Geartown for next turn).

*cough* Outside the uses with Ancient Gears, these things are really dependent on field spells. They are also Dark & Light so they could be used for some kind of Chaos deck using Chaos Zone as the field.
