Simping For Hina
I am making my way to Montreal this coming Friday for the World Irish Dance Champion Competition after only reaching Top 10 in the Regional competition, just barely making it in the qualifying ranks. I have been practicing about 5 hours everyday since the Regional competition, practicing my 3 routines over and over and over again until I got them right. If I made any mistakes, I stopped in my spot and repeated over again. Having a local competition every weekend since then, I have gotten to the point where I am able to consistently place in the top 15 at those competitions. A few of my fellow dancers from my school already took their leave, but I still have until Thursday to get in a couple more hours of practice. This is hitting the last few days, and I am not even close to ready; I just have to get it over with, though. I am nervous as fuck. Seriously having a mental breakdown every night after my 45 minute stretching session right before I go to bed. Just to bed, because I haven't gotten any good amount of sleep since January. Crack time is now. Did I mention that I am nervous? Did I mention how nervous? Okay. Obligatory gif from dae
Thar
Hey man, at least you've got something to work for. No pain, no gain, remember that. Practice like your life depended on it, treat every minute like you were trying to impress the judges, and most importantly... have fun. If your passion has gotten you this far, there's no reason to feel pressured. Rationing your time wisely will build a stairway to the top. I believe in ya, bro! <
