Synchro Monument

Field Spell Card

 

When a Tuner monster is Summoned or a Synchro Monster is Synchro Summoned, your opponent cannot activate any cards.

 

 

Basically, this Field makes Synchro Summons a bit safer by narrowing the window in which you can stop their Summons.  Would this help Synchro decks in any way if it was released with its anime effect?

I would think so.

Especially those quasar decks... However since i'm not fond of first turn quasar decks i would rather not want this released lol...

 

This barely helps QTKs, if they go first, after all, there's not much you could do to stop them even if you could respond.

I don't think Synchros being "unsafe" are an issue, really, aren't Xyz as unsafe to make?

If anything, this card is just too specific to be of any use. As it stands it's just support for Synchro Decks that they don't really need. I would much rather run Wiretap and Trap Stun if I'm that afraid of backrow.

This would need a major boost for it to be used, something like "Once per turn, you can send 1 monster you control to the Graveyard; Special Summon 1 Synchro monster with the same level as the monster you sent +2 (This Special Summon is treated as a Synchro Summon)" or something.

The way I'm reading this, it doesn't even do anything with Quasar anyway since it says "When a Synchro Monster is Synchro Summoned", meaning AFTER the summon negation window (the only window Quasar cares about)

I suppose the idea is that it would stop bottomless from hitting Librarian.

Anyway, this card is far too cloggy to do any work.
