While I disagree 100% with what this guy is doing, the death threats against him are uncalled for.

~ P O L A R I S ~
If openly gay then they'd be refused service and wouldn't be able to purchase products they'd otherwise receive discounts on. If covertly gay they'd snatch up their snipers' discounts.

Resident Fascist
I am a Christian. My company will be run in a way that reflects that. Dishonesty, thievery, immoral behavior, etc. will not be welcomed," he said. "I would not hesitate to refuse service to an openly gay person or persons. Homosexuality is wrong, period. This quotation states clearly the type of person the owner is. While you may not agree with homosexuality, and while you have rights as the owner of a business to refuse service in Michigan, it seems, despite his statement of not trying to drum up controversy, has only managed to bring more attention to himself by stating that "Homosexuality is wrong, period", almost as if his word is absolute law. The question regarding how he would feel if he were a member of the LGBT community is farfetched, his answer doesn't match up with the position that he is in as what I can assume, a heterosexual individual. He isn't really one to judge as he isn't discriminated near daily and refused service in one of the most advanced countries in the world simply for who you like to derive your sexual pleasure with. While he as stated before, has a right to his opinion and his beliefs, I don't believe it's right to make people feel unwelcome in any corner of society just for who they are. That's soul-crushing. We try to slot people into little boxes and we simply don't fit into them a lot of the time, we are too used to the norm and scared of what we don't understand. Oh, also the fact he states "If you want to bring your boyfriend" reeks of complete misogyny implying that lesbians don't exist and/or aren't relevant. Females have sexuality too, so I mean, what bites? Honestly, this is a car workshop - not a Church. His statement practically states, "I am a Christian and here is my list of excuses to be a homophobe because a book tells me to."

Azure Wolf
Something like this has happened over here regarding Asher's bakery and a gay couple. While the bakery didn't offer discounts to others it was still taken to court by other, despite the couple not really caring. People are free to choose who they service to and growing up with Christian background, I can see where the guy is coming from. The right to refuse customers is fine and all but when you give privileges to others it doesn't work.
Cin
Just another abuse of Christianity to be openly Homophobic. I could go on about how Christians pick and choose which rules to follow, but that would just end in argument. If he wants to cut off some of the hands that feed him sure, go ahead, but just don't blame them when your business goes under.
