AnnieShifter
Ever since qli's harsh hit on the banlist, people have recently begun to start playing playing these two powerful cards. I never quite understood why no one use to play Tower or Monolith before. Tower is nearly indestructable and Monolith is a weaker super rejuvenation, but both are obviously powerful. Why were they originally not played?
heraldry_lord
Towers wasn't played, because it wasn't needed, and the deck generally had better plays, and even the few builds that did run it only ran it at 1. Monolith, on the other hand, was played before, but at 1. It's definitely needed more now, with Saqlifice at 1 and Scout at 2.
Spinny
Monolith was originally played wasnt it? And so was Towers but in more specific builds.

VCR_CAT
Towers was a win-moar that actually hurt deck consistency by not being a Pendulum and needing three tributes; the deck itself ran a lot better using Shell as the boss than Towers; in terms of consistency and speed. Right now the deck needs to be retooled (lol) for the hits on the direct searchers. Thankfully there are some older cards that help with the draw engine as well; but they haven't seen use in a long time. Towers is powerful, but overall all it has over, say, Obelisk is its searchability. In this meta, if Obelisk was more searchable by the deck, I would actually say he would be a better triple-sacrifice choice.
heraldry_lord
Qliphorts will get Lose 1 Turn; assuming they aren't butchered further, that card should be a great boon TCG-side like it was OCG-side.
ihop
Winmoar is the perfect description for towers - if you have the ability to make it you probably have scout monolith and you probably win anyway. It wins the game but the amount of games it wins on its own that aren't won games anywa are limited, and it's a terrible early draw.
CLG Klavier
Towers is still honestly really shit, and Monolith was already played, so nothing new here, carry on.
Expelsword
Everyone laughs at the crazy Killer until he's on the board. Then he's not so funny.

Wildflame
I still think that Killer is one of the most badass cards ever made. And I always saw Monolith played at 1, so I don't really think it's a new thing?
CLG Klavier
Everyone laughs at the crazy Killer until he's on the board. Then he's not so funny. It's the Lightsworn syndrome. Yeah, once he hits the field, you're probably done for. But in the longer run, the Qliphort player will win more games if he didn't run it, as opposed to winning the few of them thanks to Towers. SirReal
It's kind of a risk/reward thing with running Towers. You have that chance of drawing it at the wrong time always looming overhead, but you can basically use this as a win button against many many decks. Slinky
How many decks actually have answers to this? Anything that runs Moon Mirror Shield. Any Warrior deck (Excalibur) Mirror Match Heroes (Plasma tech)
ihop
Aka nothing.
Wildflame
How many decks actually have answers to this? Honest/Kalut/Crane. Nehemoth. Synchro decks have Star Eater. Yang Zing can also kill it with powered-up stuff. And of course, DRXD.
heraldry_lord
And of course, DRXD. What would Dark Rebellion do? I don't think banking on them having another monster to target is a grand idea.

It's the best a Rank 4 deck can do (besides Utopia the Lightning, forgot about that one), it happens sometimes.

heraldry_lord
Towers' last effect kinda reminds me of the Eldrazi's Annihilator mechanic in MTG. That effect can brush aside a Defense Position Knight of Destiny even.
Expelsword
I HAVE actually destroyed Killer with Nehemoth before, and for that matter, negated Kernel with Liltih (It's fun when your opponent doesn't read). I remember Burning Abyss could Astral Force Crystal Alien into C69 to punch over it, but I'm pretty sure they don't play RUM anymore.

ihop
How do you suggest they get over it? Decisive armor sucks anyway. But, like I said this card is bad regardless.
