NFL's Deflategate

So it was announced today that New Englad Patriots QB Tom Brady got suspended for his role in the use of deflated footballs in the AFC title game back in January.

Here's the link.

In summary:

4-game suspension for Brady

$1 Million fine for the Pats

Loss of next year's 1st Round Draft pick

So Discuss.  Too harsh of a punishment?  Or did the Pats get off lightly?

Has to be said.

Nope, it didn't. Note to everyone else that posting something like this outside Misc. will 99% of the time be considered spam and you will be warned.

*Has no clue about American handegg, because he plays real football* Carry on.

2017 draft pick loss should have been higher (r3 maybe?).

Except the best players are picked in R1, so a R1 and/or R2 loss makes more sense.  I do agree that suspension needed to be longer. Especially with his not cooperating and turning in the stuff they asked for.

I'm surprised Belichet got nothing.

(1) I really want to know that 1%

(2) I don't believe you play any football

(3) You should warn him not for posting a video in response, but specifically a video that is overused in ESPN facebook comments.

True, though the Patriots also lost a 2017 R4 along with the 2016 R1. The 2017 should have been higher value, hence the proposed R3 at least.
