Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a Spell/Trap is activated: You can negate the activation of that Spell/Trap Card, and destroy it. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: Draw 1 card. Effect: 1 level 4 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters When this card is Special Summoned: You can add up to 3 "Keyblade" monsters from your Graveyard to your Deck. Your opponent cannot activate cards and effects when any "Keyblade" monsters attack until the end of the Damage Step. Once per turn, if you have less than 2000 LP: You can banish 1 monster from your Graveyard, then both players gain LP equal to half the banished monster's ATK (This is a Quick Effect). Effect: 3 or more Level 4 "Keyblade" monsters When this card is Xyz Summoned: From the top of your Deck send to the Graveyard cards equal to number of monsters used for the Xyz Summon of this card. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase during the turn you activate this effect. Effect: 2 Level 8 monsters or 3 Level 4 monsters This card can also be Xyz Summoned by using any "Drive" monsters as Xyz Materials. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card) Cannot be destroyed by battle once while face-up on the field. Once, while this card is face-up on the field: You can target 1 face-up monster, attach it to this card as an Xyz Material. When this card is targeted for a card effect: You can detach 1 Xyz Material, negate the effect, and destroy it. While this card has Xyz Materials, if this card battles a monster, it gains ATK equal to the amount of the monster it battles with for that damage calculation only. Tell me what you guys think. The Nyx Avatar
I like Kingdom Hearts, but I never have the time to play many of the installments. Anyways, this is basically what you get when you combine two franchises that you like, and I've done that before with Castlevania/Devil's Castle Dracula. I like this archetype, but the cards range from good to just ridiculous. When making an archetype, cards, or just a single card, you should take into account the currently existing cards and ban list. While some of these cards are fine, others are questionable to say the least. The Keyblade monsters seem to have fair effects that work together well in the archetype; however, I wonder how these cards would work with other cards or Decks. The only Main Deck monster that seems unfair is "Young Sora", as you get to draw 2 cards with the only cost being banishing it; I swear other Decks can abuse this. I would suggest at least changing it to drawing only 1 card or just paying a higher cost. As for "Curaga", can you specify where you Special Summon from? The hand? The Graveyard? "Drive Form": Specify from where you send the Fusion Materials. Aside from its last effect, "Drive Revert" seems fine. I'm not sure what category "Heart of Light" falls into; while you do add a monster and can use its other effect the same turn, the card has heavy costs. "Trinity Limit" seems questionable, but I can't put into words why. "Reflega" is by far the most solid of the Spell/Trap cards; a big cost to negate and banish all copies. "Drive Form - Sora the Keyblade of Limits" puts "Dark Strike Fighter to shame; all you need is a Level 4 monster and any Tuners to Summon this card, and it can inflict more damage than "Dark Strike Fighter" ever could. "Drive Form - Sora the Final Keyblade Bearer: No; 3800 ATK? This is the ATK of a Level 12 monster, not a Level 10 monster. At least change its Level to 12. "Drive Form - Sora the Keyblade of Mastery: This would be a solid card if you make its Xyz Materials: 3 Level 4 "Keyblade" monsters, so this card wouldn't bleed into archetypes that have more than enough support like Sattelarknights. The same can't be said for "Drive Form - Sora the Anti-Form Heartless". At least remove one of its effects; it already has too much going on that would allow you to win a Duel too easily, as monsters can't be destroyed by battle, it can't be targeted by card effects, and if that wasn't enough, it can steal your opponent's monsters and use them as Xyz Materials (this is definitely the effect that has to go; at best, limit it to "When this card is Special Summoned", or "Once, while this card is face-up on the field). Fukato
Thx for reading this and i followed your advice and change some effects and stats for some of the monsters. PLUS I LOVE PERSONA TOO!!! If only Nyx didn't exist..... "He" would be alive!
The Nyx Avatar
You're welcome. I like Kingdom Hearts, and I understand that making an archetype based on a franchise can be a bit difficult; especially if it's your first attempt. Regardless, I still like this archetype; the source material is appealing and most of the Main Deck monsters have fair effects and good Extra Deck monsters to go along with it. And thankfully, the effects don't have a cheap gimmick like "Shaddoll" and "Burning Abyss". And on unrelated note: It's rare for me to find people who like or even know what Persona is. By far, it's my favorite RPG.
Fukato
"Shadoll" and "Burning Abyss" are able to seriously create loops and pretty much otk an opponent. They also basically revive themselves..... which makes them annoying to go up against. Persona is also my favorite rpg. Kingdom Hearts comes second to it. The Nyx Avatar
I called "Shaddoll" and "Burning Abyss's" gimmicks cheap not because they're minimal or weak, but because their effects reward you more than any other cost effect. Thankfully, your archetype doesn't focus on something like that. Which Persona game is your favorite? Mine's 4, but 1 and 2 had better characters and a better plot. Fukato
Thanks, I tried to balance out the main deck as much as possible, but when it came to the extra deck... i didn't really know what kind of effects to give them. Mine's 3 since it hit me hard on the topic about death and the reality of it. Then the 4th one for its plot twist but i havent played 1 and 2, i would love to try to play them though. The Nyx Avatar
I'd say that you did a good job. The archetype seems balanced with minor imbalances, but overall it's a good archetype. Persona 1 and 2 have characters other than the protagonist die; two of your friends even try to kill the protagonist, a poor girl's been in a come most of her life, and one of your dead sibling's try to kill you. Fukato
Now i really want to play Persona 1 and 2. But i dont have the system for those games... too bad my psp broke. If it didn't maybe i could play some Persona 4. The deck can maintain its own fast pace unless its up against certain deck types that can negate or is just so much faster. I think if it was real, it can hold a chance against many decks.
The Nyx Avatar
You could also show/hide these cards better by making seperate spoilers; one for monsters, one for Spells, one for Traps, and one for Extra Deck. Persona 2:It gets better. You'll be surprised when you see the semi-final boss, or the first part of the end.
Fukato
How do you separate them into those categories? I don't know how to do that. I heard that in Persona 2 the semi-final boss is him from WWII, then the second is Nyarlethep (Is that how its spelled?) who is disguised as "him". The Nyx Avatar
You do what you did for the spoiler you currently have. Copy and paste it multiple times, and rename them from Cards to the type of cards (monsters, spells, traps, ect). It's actually spelled Nyarlathotep. And yeah; he's disguised as the guy from WWII that you're thinking of.
Fukato
The deck has been organized into their separate spoiler. And I feel like the deck doesn't need any improvement yet, but if it does i will post a new thread for the add-on cards. So thats how it's spelled. Nyarlathotep seems like an interesting antagonist to know especially since he actually does disguise himself as that one guy.
