Lasaro Ginjou
This is my first Advanced Multiples Topic. Generally, I got some good feedback from my work in Casuals so I thought I would try my luck here. So, the idea of this thread is simple. What if there were Booster Packs made after mythological monsters? I try to make monsters whose effects reflect their respective mythology. Also, they are meant to be usable with most decks. The structure of this thread is simple. 1 spoiler window for each pack. under each card their will be a spoiler window with a written version of the card and a reflection on mythology. You will see on the cards at the circulation section that I instead have the Artist Credit. I have already confirmed with a moderator that there is no problem with leaving it there. Here we go!
Riddling Sphinx
Written Version[WIND/***/Winged Beast/Effect/ATK 0/DEF 0]Cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn, target 1 opponent's monster and toss a coin. Your opponent must call it. If the opponent calls it wrong, destroy that monster. The opponent takes damage equal to half the destroyed monster's ATK. If the opponent calls it right, they gain 1000 Life Points; then, you can target 1 opponent's monster and perform a second coin toss. If the opponent calls it wrong repeat the previous effect. If the opponent calls it right, destroy this card. Your opponent gains 0 LP.Effect and Mythology1. Sphinx was an unbeatable physically monster = cannot be destroyed in battle2. When encountered it asks a riddle = coin toss that the opponent calls3. Those that are wrong die = 1 monster destroyed4. Those that are correct are spared = 1000 points reward if called right5. If answered correctly the sphinx asks another riddle = second coin toss if called right6. If answered wrong they die = 1 monster destroyed7. Those that keep calling it right cause the sphinx to self-destruct = if called right again the Sphinx is destroyed
Nemean Lion
Written Version[EARTH/****/Beast/Effect/ATK 1800/DEF 0]As long as this card is in Defense Position, this card cannot be destroyed by battle except by level 5 or higher Warrior- Type monsters. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.Effect and Mythology1. It has an impenetrable hide = cannot be destroyed in battle when in defense position...2. Can be defeated by strong heroes (Heracles) = ...except by level 5 or higher Warrior monsters3. Its claws can penetrate any defense = piercing damage when battling defense position monsters.
Caucasian Eagle
Written Version[WIND/****/Winged Beast/Effect/ATK 1500/DEF 1200]Once per turn, target 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field: that monster is banished. During the End Phase of the same turn, your opponent can select 1 monster with the same level, Attribute and Type as the banished monster from either player's Graveyard and add it to their hand. This card cannot declare an attack the turn you activate this effect.Effect and Mythology1. The eagle was eating every day Prometheus's liver = banish 1 opponent's monster once per turn.2. During the night the liver was regenerated = the monster adds to hand a monster with same Level, Attribute and Type from either players Graveyard.3. Did not attack Prometheus, simply acted on Zeus' orders = if effect used, the monster cannot attack that turn.
Gryphon
Written Version[WIND/********/Winged Beast/Fusion/Effect/ATK ?/DEF ?]"Nemean Lion" + "Caucasion Eagle"Must be Fusion Summoned and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card's original ATK is the number of Beast-Type monsters in your Graveyard x500. This card's original DEF is the number of Winged Beast-Type monsters in your Graveyard x500. Once per turn, you can banish 1 Beast-Type monster and 1 Winged Beast-Type monster from your Graveyard: this card cannot be targeted by card effects this turn.Effect and Mythology1. Is the king of beasts thus the more beasts the stronger it is = ATK equals number of Beast monsters in Graveyard x5002. Is the king of birds thus the more birds the stronger it is = DEF equals number of Winged Beast monsters in Graveyard x5003. As a king it rules over birds and beasts = sacrificing 1 of each types to become immune to card effects for one turn.
Pegasus
Written Version[WIND/***/Winged Beast/Union/ATK 0/DEF 1800]Once per turn, you can equip this card to 1 level 5 or higher Warrior, Fairy or Fiend-Type monster you control as an Equip Card, OR unequip it to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. While equipped to a monster by this effect, the equipped monster can attack your opponent's Life Points directly this turn. (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster is destroyed as a result of battle, destroy this card instead.)Effect and Mythology1. Was used by gods and heroes alike = can be equipped to Warrior, Fairy and Fiend monsters2. Can fly = allows equipped monster to bypass defenses and attack directly.3. There rest are common Union Monsters' effects.
Chimera
Written Version[FIRE/****/Beast/Effect/ATK 1800/DEF 800]Once per turn, during your Standby Phase, roll a six-sided die. Activate 1 of the following effects based on the number rolled: -1 or 4: Destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on your opponent's side of the field. -2 or 5: Reduce the ATK and DEF of an opponent's monster by 500 until the End Phase. -3 or 6: If this card attacks a Defense Position monster this turn, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.Effect and MythologyThe three possible effects refer to its three beasts:1. The fire breathing lion head destroys a spell/trap card.2. The poisonous snake decreases the power of a monster3. The goat with its horns has piercing damage.
Lernean Hydra
Written Version[WATER/***/Reptile/Effect/ATK 500/DEF 0]This card cannot be destroyed by battle except by FIRE or Pyro-Type monsters. You take no battle damage, except when battling FIRE or Pyro-Type monsters. When this card battles an opponent's monster (except FIRE or Pyro-Type monsters) place 1 counter on this card. This card gains 200 ATK for each counter placed on it. If this card is destroyed by battle with a FIRE or Pyro-Type monster, remove 1 counter from this card: it is not destroyed. (Damage calculation is applied normally.)Effect and MythologyOne might say that it is overpowering but this is mythology for you. The only weakness is any monster that has to do with fire. All others give it more heads, hence more ATK.
Hydra's Poison Arrow
Written Version[Spell/Equip]Equip only to a Warrior, Beast-Warrior, Fairy or Fiend-Type monster and only if there is 1 "Lernean Hydra" in your Graveyard. The equipped monster gains 700 ATK. During battle involving the equipped monster, after damage calculation, inflict 700 damage to the opponent's LP. If there is 1 "Lernean Hydra" in your Graveyard, this card returns from the Graveyard to the owner's hand.Effect and MythologyWhat is a booster pack without Spells? A combo spell to go with Hydra based on Mythology. While hydra is dead we can always use more of its poison so we can use the spell card again. The poison works on the opponent him/herself with 700 LP damage.

Guardian Sphinx
Written Version[WIND/****/Winged Beast/Effect/ATK 1600/DEF 1800]As long as this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent cannot select another monster you control as an attack or effect target.Effect and Mythology1. In Egyptian Mythology Sphinx was mostly male and strong = relatively strong ATK/DEF2. It served as a guardian to protect something valuable = draws all attack and effect to itself
Bennu Phoenix
Written Version[FIRE/***/Winged Beast/Effect/ATK 1000/DEF 1000]When the opponent declares an attack, you can offer this card as a Tribute to negate the attack and end the Battle Phase. If this card was sent to the Graveyard with this effect, it is Special Summoned in face-up Attack Position during the End Phase of the same turn.Effect and Mythology1. The older version of a Phoenix like bird was Egyptian and was called Bennu2. In some versions it dies in an explosion of fire = Offered as tribute to end battle phase when opponent attacks3. After that it is reborn from fire = it is special summoned at the End Phase of the same turn.

Unicorn
Written Version[WATER/***/Beast/Effect/ATK 0/DEF 1800]While this card is face-up on your side of the field, monsters you control (excluding this card) cannot be targeted by Spell, Trap or Monsters' effects. Once per turn, during the End Phase, if a monster you control was destroyed by a card effect this turn, Special Summon that monster in Defense Position. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, Special Summon 1 "Unicorn Horn Token" (Beast-Type/ FIRE/Level 3/ATK 0/DEF 0) in face-up Defense Position.Effect and Mythology1. Unicorn can heal/save other beings = protects monsters from card effects.2. Extended healing powers = revive a monster that was destroyed by a card effect.3.
