Hope this works. 2 Level 4 "Ancient Gear" monsters Once per turn, during your Battle Phase, if this card attacks, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; the opponent cannot activate monster effects until the end of the Damage Step. If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate any Spell/Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. (Pendulum effect) You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except Machine-Type monsters. This effect cannot be negated. When an "Ancient Gear" monster you control is destroyed by battle; you can add 1 "Ancient Gear" monster from your Deck to your hand. (Monster Effect) If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate any Spell/Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. (Pendulum effect) You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except Machine-Type monsters. This effect cannot be negated. When an "Ancient Gear" monster you control is destroyed by card effect; you can summon 1 "Ancient Gear" monster from your Deck to the field, ignoring its Summoning conditions. DuelSpectre Posted June 6, 2015 Report Share Posted June 6, 2015 The Xyz monster is somewhat underwhelming. Make it so it brings back an Ancient Gear monster when destroyed? Pendulums are pretty good, but most Ancient Gear monsters can't be Special Summoned, so Pendulum Summoning them is somewhat moot. Sapphire Dragon is the better one of the two; find a way for Ruby Dragon to be more useful, as battle destruction is very unrare. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Hyperduck Posted July 22, 2015 Report Share Posted July 22, 2015 I think the Pendulums are incredibly powerful, to the point of, jesus christ please no. Because these effects don't have per turn restrictions, they are ridiculously good. Adding a lot to your hand and replacing monsters that are destroyed by card effect is a very strong for recovery. Also, your opponent may have no choice but to destroy by card effect because Ancient Gears have high ATK, or you could destroy your own weak gears with your own effects to bring out really strong ones. It seems stupid strong without once per turn or (if your feeling lucky) twice per turn restrictions. Also, I agree with DuelSpectre, the Xyz is a little underwhelming, give that thing a boost.
