PixelCat
Yes, this needs to be done. To wrap up what the deck is based on, the basic goal is to take control of your opponent's monsters to use basic effects of the "Space Invader" archtype. Their effects only activate while you control at least 1 of your opponent's monsters, and they all have the ability to control opponent's monsters upon Summon. (But all lv5 so summoning doesn't become overbearing). Meet the godly pixel aliens! When this card is Summoned, target 1 face-up monster on your opponent's side of the field; Take control of that monster until the End Phase of this turn. While you control a monster that was originally your opponent's, you can discard 1 card to Special Summon 1 "Space Invader" monster card from your hand. You can only use this effect of "Space Invader - Blue" once per turn. When this card is Summoned, target 1 face-up monster on your opponent's side of the field; Take control of that monster until the End Phase of this turn. During the Main Phase of your turn, while you control a monster that was originally your opponent's, you can return this card to the owner's hand to Special Summon 1 "Space Invader" monster from your Graveyard. When this card is Summoned, target 1 face-up monster on your opponent's side of the field; Take control of that monster until the End Phase of this turn. While you control a monster that was originally your opponent's, "Space Invader" monsters cannot be destroyed by battle. If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can add 1 "Space Invader" card from your deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Space Invader - Purple" once per turn. When this card is Summoned, target 1 face-up monster on your opponent's side of the field; Take control of that monster until the End Phase of this turn. While you control a monster that was originally your opponent's, all "Space Invader" monsters on your side of the field gain 800 ATK and DEF, and can attack your opponent directly. This card cannot attack directly the turn it is Summoned. When this card is Summoned, target 1 face-up monster on your opponent's side of the field; Take control of that monster until the End Phase of this turn. Once per turn, while you control a monster that was originally your opponent's, you can send 3 cards from the top of your deck to the Graveyard. If a "Space Invader" card is sent to the Graveyard by this effect, select and add 1 of those cards to your hand. When this card is Summoned, target 1 face-up monster on your opponent's side of the field; Take control of that monster until the End Phase of this turn. While you control a monster that was originally your opponent's, your opponent cannot target monsters on your side of the field with effects. If this is the only monster on your side of the field, send it to the Graveyard. See their support! All "Space Invader" monster cards you control gain 500 ATK. Once per turn, while you control a Machine-Type monster, you can target 1 face-up "Space Invader" monster on your side of the field and 1 face-up monster on your opponent's side of the field; Switch control of those targets. The level of all "Space Invader" monster cards in your hand are decreased by 1. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, return all monsters on the field back to their owner's control. While this card is equipped to a "Space Invader" monster, that monster cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. While equipped to a monster other than a "Space Invader" monster, and you control a face-up Machine-Type monster, the equipped monster cannot return to their original owner's control. Special Summon 1 "Space Invader" from your deck. You can only activate "Space Invader Assault" once per turn. While you control a face-up "Space Invader" monster, you can Tribute 1 monster you control other than a Machine-Type to select and destroy 2 cards on the field. You can banish this card from the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Space Invader" from your Graveyard. You can only use this effect of "Space Invader Ambush" once per turn, and cannot be used the same turn it was sent to the Graveyard. Leave Feedback please! I love feedback, even if you wish to be constructive and give me pointers on changes that should be made. If you feel the cards might be a bit too powerful or not strong enough to compete in today's Meta, feel free to tell me! I have logical explanations for nearly everything I put into these cards, but if you see an actual flaw that cannot be reasonably argued then I will definitely make the changes immediately. GarlandChaos
I understand that you were trying to nerf the Space Invaders by making them require tribute, but this is what will make running pure Space Invader decks either a) Near impossible, or b) Asking someone to attack you directly. The main and pretty much only way for this archetype to get its main cards out on the field in the first place is through "Space Invader Assault", but that's only once per turn. I'm only referring to this difficulty aspect from a pure Space Invader deck perspective, since obviously running different cards will help tremendously. Either way, interesting archetype, and I hope you improve it. ^^ May I suggest making the monsters themselves Geminis to help mitigate the summon overbearing aspects? You can still get them out, and you just have to wait another turn to get things going smoothly. EDIT: I just reread the effect of "Space Invader Uniformity", so just ignore everything relating to the summoning difficulty, please. ^^;
PixelCat
Haha, yeah they have a few ways to get themselves out fairly decently. I did indeed nerf them because I definitely didn't want people to complain about monster swap abuse. lol. But thank you very much for your reply. Perhaps I can make them into Geminis so that they still get their effects but not in a stupidly spammy way. :
