The Nyx Avatar
LORE:While this card is face-up on the field or in the Graveyard, this card is also treated as a Plant-Type monster. When this card is Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 Plant-Type monster from your Deck; you cannot Special Summon other monsters the turn you activate this effect, except Plant-Type monsters. Cosmo.
This card doesn't seem very good, because then you can't follow up with that Special Summon, so you are open to attacks because you have a face-up defenseless 600 ATK and someone else. This card though might be good to end a game, for example your opponent has low Life Points, with her you summon Hermitree and win. For early/mid-game not very good, for late game could win duels
The Nyx Avatar
Would it help if it said "you cannot Special Summon other monsters this turn, except Plant-Type monsters" instead?
Cosmo.
Would it help if it said "you cannot Special Summon other monsters this turn, except Plant-Type monsters" instead? That would help a lot because it allows follow-up plays, but you can't use it for Quasar and stuff.

DuelSpectre
This card is insane support for Plant decks. This is essentially 3 more copies of Lonefire Blossom, and 3 Lonefires is enough. I would change the effect to banish from the Grave to trigger the effect and give it a hard OPT so you can't use its effect twice.
The Nyx Avatar
This effect activates when is "Normal Summoned" and restricts you to only Summoning Plant-Type monsters. The card's original effect before itd alteration was "you cannot Special Summon other monsters this turn."

I would change the effect to banish from the Grave to trigger the effect and give it a hard OPT so you can't use its effect twice. But Lonefire allows you to then do stuff like summon Quasar, while this only limits it to plant decks, which aren't the most meta
DuelSpectre
Sylvans get so much mileage out of this card, its essentially summon this > go for Lonefire > More Sylvans > Soul Charge (optional) > Quasar with Spore and Glow-Up. That's a little too much.
Cosmo.
Quasar can't be summoned....
DuelSpectre
Right, nvm. It's still 3 extra copies of Lonefire Blossom though in Sylvans, etc. which, incidentally, is abusable like crazy. Making a card that fuels more Lonefire shenanigans, even if you can't summon Quasar, is still going overboard.
