My MLP Cards [written] (more to be added soon)

Over the last couple weeks, I've been designing a bunch of MLP-themed cards. I thought I might as well post them here for some CnC. I don't play the actual game much, but I tried to make these as balanced as I could.

 

[spoiler="Monster Cards"] 

Element of Harmony Set 

 

"Element of Harmony - Fluttershy" 

WIND / Level: 4 

[Winged Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 200 / DEF: 1600 

 

Effect: Your opponent cannot declare an attack on the turn immediately following this card being Summoned (excluding Special Summoning). During your Standby Phase, you may Special Summon "Angel Bunny" from your hand; this card's defense is then halved until your next Standby Phase. 

 

 

"Element of Harmony - Applejack" 

EARTH / Level: 4 

[Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 1500 / DEF: 1300 

 

Effect: As long as this card is face-up on the field, your opponent may not declare an attack against any monster with "Apple" in its name aside from this card. 

 

 

"Element of Harmony - Pinkie Pie" 

EARTH / Level: 4 

[Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 1400 / DEF: 1100 

 

Effect: When this card is attacked by an opposing monster, you may pay 500 Life Points to activate this effect. Flip a coin. If heads, the opposing monster's attack is negated; your opponent's Battle Phase is now over. If tails, all damage you would receive as a result of this battle is inflicted upon your opponent's Life Points instead; this card is removed from play during the End Phase of the turn this effect is used. If this card is removed from play by a card effect other than the preceding effect, you may Special Summon "Pinkamena Diane Pie" from your hand or deck. 

 

 

"Element of Harmony - Rainbow Dash" 

WIND / Level: 4 

[Winged Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 1900 / DEF: 1000 

 

Effect: If this card is targeted by an Equip Spell Card which includes the effect of preventing this card from attacking, the Equip Spell Card is destroyed without being activated. 

 

 

"Element of Harmony - Rarity" 

LIGHT / Level: 4 

[Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 1300 / DEF: 500 

 

Effect: If "Cutie Mark Crusader Sweetie Belle" is located in your Graveyard, this card's ATK is doubled. 

 

 

"Element of Harmony - Twilight Sparkle" 

LIGHT / Level: 4 

[Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 1600 / DEF: 1300 

 

Effect: During your Main Phase 1, you may increase this card's ATK by 200 by each Spell Card you send from your hand to the Graveyard. If the opposing monster's name is "The Great and Powerful Trixie", this card gains 500 ATK; this effect stacks with the previous effect. 

 

 

"Spike the Dragon, Honorary Element of Harmony" 

FIRE / Level: 3 

[Dragon / Effect] 

ATK: 1200 / DEF: 1000 

 

Effect: If an "Element of Harmony" monster you control is sent to the Graveyard, discard one card from your hand to switch this card into Defense Mode. 

 

 

Equestrian Monarch Set 

 

"Equestrian Monarch Twilight Sparkle" 

LIGHT / Level: 6 

[Winged Beast / Ritual / Effect] 

ATK: 2400 / DEF: 1900 

 

Effect: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except with the Ritual Spell Card "The Celestial Plane". This card cannot attack on the turn it is Ritual Summoned. While this card is face-up on the field, your opponent may not summon (excluding Special Summon) any monster Level 4 or higher with "Trixie" or "Sunset Shimmer" in its name. During your Main Phase 1, you may send this card to the Graveyard to Special Summon "Equestrian Monarch Celestia" from your hand or deck; you may not activate this effect on the turn this card is Ritual Summoned. 

 

 

"Equestrian Monarch Cadance" 

LIGHT / Level: 5 

[Winged Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 1800 / DEF: 2500 

 

Effect: This card cannot be destroyed in battle if "Equestrian Monarch Shining Armor" is face-up on your field. This card gains 200 ATK and DEF for every monster in your Graveyard with "Crystal" in its name. 

 

 

"Equestrian Monarch Celestia" 

LIGHT / Level: 8 

[Winged Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 3000 / DEF: 2400 

 

Effect: This card cannot be Set face-down. This card gains 200 ATK for every "Equestrian Monarch" monster in both player's Graveyards. While this card is face-up on the field, your opponent may not play any cards with "Discord" in their name; cards with "Discord" in their name already on the field are not destroyed. 

 

 

"Equestrian Monarch Luna" 

DARK / Level: 7 

[Winged Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 2700 / DEF: 2200 

 

Effect: This card gains 200 ATK for every card in your Graveyard with "Cutie Mark Crusader" in its name. While this card is face-up on the field, during their Standby Phase, your opponent must randomly select one card in their hand and show it to you; if it is a Trap Card, it is removed from play until their next Standby Phase. 

 

 

"Equestrian Monarch Shining Armor" 

LIGHT / Level: 5 

[Beast-Warrior / Effect] 

ATK: 2000 / DEF: 2000 

 

Effect: This card cannot be destroyed in battle if "Equestrian Monarch Cadance" is face-up on your field. When an opposing monster declares an attack, you may increase the ATK of this card by up to 1000 by reducing the DEF an equal amount. When your opponent's Battle Phase ends, this card switches into Defense Position; this card's battle position may not be changed for the remainder of the duel. 

 

 

Cutie Mark Crusader Set 

 

"Cutie Mark Crusader Apple Bloom" 

EARTH / Level: 3 

[Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 1200 / DEF: 900 

 

Effect: As long as this card is face-up on the field, each time a card effect is activated with the effect of increasing your Life Points, increase your Life Points by 200 additional points. This effect is not applied to the effect of "Cutie Mark Crusader Apple Bloom". 

 

 

"Cutie Mark Crusader Scootaloo" 

WIND / Level: 3 

[Winged Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 1400 / DEF: 700 

 

Effect: If this card is Tributed to Special Summon a WIND Attribute monster, this card counts as two Tributes instead of one. 

 

 

"Cutie Mark Crusader Sweetie Belle" 

LIGHT / Level: 3 

[Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 700 / DEF: 900 

 

Effect: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set unless a card you control whose name includes the word "Rarity" is on your field. Increase this card's ATK by 200 for every Spell Card in your hand. 

 

 

"Cutie Mark Crusader Babs Seed" 

EARTH / Level: 3 

[Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 1300 / DEF: 1300 

 

Effect: This card's name is also treated as "Babs Seed Apple". This card loses 100 ATK and DEF for every "Cutie Mark Crusader" monster in your Graveyard. 

 

 

Background 6 Set 

 

"Background 6 - Derpy Hooves" 

WIND / Level: 4 

[Winged Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 1800 / DEF: 1000 

 

Effect: FLIP: Inflict 500 points of Direct Damage to both player's Life Points. 

 

 

"Background 6 - The Doctor" 

EARTH / Level: 4 

[Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 1000 / DEF: 2000 

 

Effect: As long as this card is face-up on the field, during your Standby Phase, you have the option to pay 300 Life Points to activate this effect. Remove one monster on either side of the field from play until your next Standby Phase. 

 

 

"Background 6 - Vinyl Scratch" 

LIGHT / Level: 4 

[Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 1800 / DEF: 1200 

 

Effect: This card's effect cannot be activated if "Background 6 - Octavia Melody" is face-up on your field. As long as this card is face-up on your field, your opponent is unable to Special Summon (excluding Ritual Summoning) monsters Level 5 or higher. 

 

 

"Background 6 - Octavia Melody" 

EARTH / Level: 4 

[Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 1200 / DEF: 1800 

 

Effect: This card's effect cannot be activated if "Background 6 - Vinyl Scratch" is face-up on your field. As long as this card is face-up on your field, your opponent's monsters cannot attack on the turn they are summoned (excluding Special Summoning). 

 

 

"Background 6 - Lyra Heartstrings" 

LIGHT / Level: 4 

[Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 1500 / DEF: 1500 

 

Effect: Send one Trap or Spell Card from your hand to the Graveyard. Add one Warrior-Type monster with 2000 DEF or less from your Graveyard to your deck; then shuffle the deck. You may use this effect only once per turn. 

 

 

"Background 6 - Bon-Bon" 

EARTH / Level: 4 

[Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 1900 / DEF: 1100 

 

Effect: If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a Spell Card, you may destroy one Fiend-Type monster controlled by your opponent. This card cannot attack on the turn this effect is used. 

 

 

Miscellaneous Monsters 

 

"Angel Bunny" 

DARK / Level: 3 

[Fiend / Effect] 

ATK: 700 / DEF: 200 

 

Effect: This card cannot be destroyed by card effects as long as you control "Element of Harmony - Fluttershy". During your Standby Phase, you may remove this card from play to Special Summon "Element of Harmony - Fluttershy" from your hand or deck. 

 

 

"Diamond Tiara" 

DARK / Level: 3 

[Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 1500 / DEF: 600 

 

Effect: If your opponent has a "Cutie Mark Crusader" monster face-up on the field, you may discard one card from your hand to Special Summon "Silver Spoon" from your hand or deck. If both this card and "Silver Spoon" are face-up on your field, during your Standby Phase you may destroy one Trap or Spell Card on either side of the field; this effect cannot be activated if this card was Special Summoned. 

 

 

"Silver Spoon" 

DARK / Level: 3 

[Beast / Effect] 

ATK: 1000 / DEF: 900 

 

Effect: During your Standby Phase, you may banish to Special Summon "Diamond Tiara" from your Graveyard. This card cannot be used to Tribute Summon monsters. 

 

 

"Changeling Scout" 

DARK / Level: 3 

[Insect / Tuner] 

ATK: 0 / DEF: 0 

 

Effect: Once per turn, select one monster with 1500 ATK or less on either side of the field. Until your next Standby Phase, this card is treated as having the same ATK, DEF, name, Attribute, and Type as the selected monster. 

 

 

"Nightmare Energy" 

DARK / Level: 2 

[Fiend / Effect] 

ATK: 0 / DEF: 0 

 

Effect: While this card is face-up on the field, you may select one Beast-Type monster you control and equip it with this card; this card is treated as an Equip Spell Card. While the selected monster remains face-up on the field, your opponent may not attack any other monsters you control. The selected monster loses 200 ATK during each Standby Phase. 

 

 

"The Great and Powerful Trixie" 

LIGHT / Level: 4 

[Spellcaster / Effect] 

ATK: 500 / DEF: 1500 

 

Effect: Each time a monster you control is sent to the Graveyard as a result of battle, place one Trixie Counter on this card (max 5). When the maximum number of counters has been accumulated on this card, during your next Standby Phase, send this card to the Graveyard to inflict 2000 points of Direct Damage to your opponent's Life Points. 

 

 

"Zecora" 

DARK / Level: 3 

[Spellcaster / Effect] 

ATK: 1300 / DEF: 1200 

 

Effect: FLIP: Your opponent skips their next Standby Phase. 

 

 

"Starlight Glimmer, Mistress of Equality" 

DARK / Level: 6 

[Spellcaster / Pendulum / Effect] 

Pendulum Scale: 7 / 7

ATK: 2200 / DEF: 1800 

 

Pendulum Effect: If your opponent has both Pendulum Zones filled, the difference in your opponent's Pendulum Scales is reduced by 1. 

Monster Effect: As long as this card is face-up on the field, all face-up monsters on the field are treated as being Level 4. This does not effect Tribute Summoning requirements.

[spoiler="Spell Cards"] 

"Equestria Games" (Field Spell) 

Effect: As long as this card is face-up on the field, the effects of all non-Beast-Type monsters on the field are negated. 

 

 

"Everfree Forest" (Field Spell) 

Effect: All FIRE Attribute monsters on the field are destroyed. All Beast-Warrior and Fiend-Type monsters on the field gain 400 ATK. 

 

 

"Inspiration Manifestation" (Equip Spell) 

Effect: This card may only be equipped to a LIGHT Attribute Pony-Type monster. When a monster equipped with this card is face-up on the field, during your Standby Phase, pay 100 Life Points; you may then remove one Spell Card from your Graveyard and shuffle it back into your deck. The monster equipped with this card is treated as DARK Attribute as long as this card is equipped. 

 

 

"Magical Mystery Cure" 

Effect: Select one monster on each side of the field. As long as this card is face-up on the field, the two monsters are treated as having each other's Attribute and Type. If either monster is sent to the Graveyard, this card is destroyed. 

 

 

"Pinkie Sense" (Equip Spell) 

Effect: This card can only be equipped to a monster whose name contains "Pinkie Pie". During your Standby Phase, randomly select and look at one card in your opponent's hand. 

 

 

"Rainbow Power" (Equip Spell) 

Effect: This card can only be equipped to a monster with "Element of Harmony" in its name. The monster equipped with this card gains 500 ATK and DEF. 

 

 

"Ring of Destiny" (Equip Spell) 

Effect: Any LIGHT Attribute monster equipped with this card gains 500 ATK and DEF. 

 

 

"Crusader Clubhouse" (Field Spell) 

Effect: As long as this card is face-up on the field, during your Main Phase 1, pay 200 Life Points to Special Summon a "Cutie Mark Crusader" monster from your hand or deck. You may use this effect only once per turn. 

 

 

"Divine Love" 

Effect: This card can only be activated if both "Equestrian Monarch Shining Armor" and "Equestrian Monarch Cadance" are face-up on your field. Banish both monsters to send all monsters on your opponent's field to the Graveyard. 

 

 

"Rise of the Background Six" (Continuous Spell) 

Effect: As long as this card is face-up on the field, during your Standby Phase, pay 500 Life Points (this is not optional). You may then Special Summon a "Background 6" monster from your hand or deck in face-up Attack Mode. If there are no monsters with "Background 6" in their name in your hand or deck, this card is removed from play.

[spoiler="Trap Cards"]

"Gem-Finding Spell" 

Effect: When a LIGHT Attribute Pony-Type monster you control is destroyed as a result of battle, Special Summon a Dragon-Type monster with 1500 ATK or less from your hand or deck. 

 

 

"Letter to Celestia" 

Effect: This card can only be activated when a monster with "Element of Harmony" in its name is destroyed as a result of battle. Increase your Life Points by the same amount you lost during the battle. Special Summon a monster with "Element of Harmony" in its name from your hand. 

 

 

"Love Poison" 

Effect: Select one monster on each side of the field. As long as this card is face-up on the field, these monsters are unable to attack each other. If either monster is sent to the Graveyard, destroy this card. During each player's End Phase, place one Time Counter on this card (max 6). When this card has accumulated the maximum amount of counters, destroy this card. 

 

 

"Mare-Do-Well Costume" 

Effect: When your opponent declares an attack on a Pony-Type monster you control, you may switch that monster into Defense Mode by discarding one Trap or Spell Card from your hand. 

 

 

"Overdue Letter" 

Effect: Discard one card from your hand. Your opponent is unable to declare an attack this turn. For the next three turns, all LIGHT Attribute monsters on the field lose 500 ATK. 

 

 

"Ready for the Gala" 

Effect: As long as this card is face-up on the field, all "Element of Harmony" monsters on your field gain 300 DEF. 

 

 

"Running of the Leaves" 

Effect: This effect can only be activated if "Element of Harmony - Rainbow Dash" is face-up on your field and "Element of Harmony - Applejack" is in the Graveyard or vice-versa. During your Standby Phase, discard one card from your hand to Special Summon the monster in the Graveyard to the field. If this card is destroyed, both monsters are sent to the Graveyard. 

 

 

"The Stare" 

Effect: This effect can only be activated if your opponent declares an attack while "Element of Harmony - Fluttershy" is face-up on your field. The opposing monster's attack is negated. Your opponent must then discard one card from their hand or else end their Battle Phase. 

 

 

"Time Loop" 

Effect: When your opponent destroys a face-up LIGHT Attribute Pony-Type monster that you control, pay 200 Life Points to Special Summon it from the Graveyard in face-up Attack Position. Equip Spell Cards that were attached to the selected monster are removed from play. 

 

 

"A Clash of Leaders" 

Effect: This card can only be activated when an opposing monster with 2500 ATK or more declares a Direct Attack on your Life Points. Special Summon an "Equestrian Monarch" monster from your hand or deck, regardless of summoning conditions written on the card. 

 

 

"Princess Summit" 

Effect: This card can only be activated if an "Equestrian Monarch" monster is sent from your hand to the Graveyard by a card effect activated by your opponent. Special Summon an "Equestrian Monarch" monster from your hand. 

 

 

"Transfer of Alicorn Magic" 

Effect: This card can only be activated when your opponent declares an attack while you control two or more face-up Winged Beast-Type "Equestrian Monarch" monsters. Pay 600 Life Points. Reduce the ATK of all but one of the "Equestrian Monarch" monsters to 0; increase the ATK of the remaining "Equestrian Monarch" monster by the original ATK of the reduced monsters. The monsters whose ATK was reduced are switched into Defense Mode; the monster whose ATK was increased is now the target of the opposing monster's attack. This effect is reverted during your opponent's End Phase. 

 

 

"Magic Disabler" 

Effect: This card can only be activated when "Equestria Games" is face-up on the field. Negate the activation of one Trap or Spell Card which causes Direct Damage to your Life Points and send the card to the Graveyard.

"Nightmare Moon" 

DARK / Level: 9 

[Spellcaster / Fusion / Effect] 

Requirements: "Equestrian Monarch Luna" + "Nightmare Energy" 

ATK: 3200 / DEF: 1500 

 

Effect: When this card in the face-up field, the effects of all "Element of Harmony" monsters on the field are negated. This monster gains 200 ATK if "Equestrian Monarch Celestia" is in your or your opponent's Graveyard. 

 

 

"Changeling Queen Chrysalis" 

DARK / Level: 7 

[Insect / Synchro / Effect] 

Requirements: 1 "Changeling Scout" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters 

ATK: 0 / DEF: 0 

 

Effect: Once per turn, select one monster with 3000 ATK or less on either side of the field. Until your next Standby Phase, this card is treated as having the same ATK, DEF, Attribute, Type, name, and effects as the selected monster; the selected monster is unable to attack this turn. 

 

 

"Lord Tirek" 

DARK / Rank: 8 

[Beast-Warrior / Xyz / Effect] 

Requirements: 4 Level 4 "Beast" or "Winged Beast" monsters 

ATK: 3500 / DEF: 2800 

 

Effect: This card is immune to the effects of "Element of Harmony" or "Equestrian Monarch" monsters. Once per turn, you may detach 1 Xyz material from this card to destroy one LIGHT, WIND, or EARTH Attribute monster on your opponent's field with 3000 ATK or less.

Since "pony" is not an actual type, I would change it to "Beast", this forum will be moved to experimental otherwise.

 

Aside from that, the support isn't too bad, I'd add an extra effect to "The Stare" and fill in Angel Bunny and the CMC cards, but, I'm sure your already planning that. Overall, it's an alright set.
