[Flip Monsters Support] Fortress of Solitude

This card is originally designed for Spirit Monster, but after I realize its potential of supporting Flip Effect Monsters (especially the weeker ones like Man-Eater bug or Hane-Hane)

 

So, here is the card after some major makeovers:

Original card lorePay 500 Life Points during each of your Standby Phase. If you cannot, destroy this card. If a face-down monster your control is attacked and flipped face-up; Until the end of the Battle Phase, it gains 1500 DEF. Additionally, if the attacked monster is not destroyed by battle; return the attacking monster to its owner's hand. If this card is destroyed by a card effect, except by its own effect; you can conduct another Normal Summon in addition to your Normal Summon during your next Main Phase.

Still need some tweaks though...

Hmm. I like the bonus DEF boost and the returning to hand part, but what could be overpowered would be the additional Normal Summons, as there doesn't seem to be a limit on it. Maybe make it only allow for additional Normal Sets only, instead of Summons, this way you could hopefully prevent any silly combos made by mass Normal Summons, while still keeping it in theme as Flip monster support. Alternatively you could add a cost or limit on it if you still wanted it to be useful for Spirit monsters.

 

Aside from Flip Effects, this card could be really good with cards like Marshmallon which cannot be destroyed by battle. It forces your opponent to either find a way to remove your face-down monsters or this card, or risk having their monsters returned to the hand.

So, I can activate it in M1, MST it, then get 2 normal summons in M2? I think you should specify which Main Phase you're talking about.

Last effect can function like this:

 

If this card is destroyed by a card effect, except by its own effect: You can; immediately after this effect resolves, Normal Set 1 monster.

 

This allows it to function during the opponent's turn while averting egotisticalghost's issue and also incorporates Tyretian's suggestion.
