The Highlander Posted July 2, 2015 Report Share Posted July 2, 2015 As we lack decks which banish for the sake of banishing (ritual beast only to a certain extend).If you have any suggestions for changes to make them more interesting feel free to express your opinion, though in other cases as well.The last 2 steps of the 4 (in the anime revealed) major steps/processes have been changed as the summon conditions of both Helios Duo Megistus and Helios Trio Megistus are the usual anime into the real game way of telling that those Spells are in no way meant to summon them any longer.Thus I decided to make Yellow Process - Kitolenics a reference to the Process of yellowing or transmutation into gold and Rubedo as both the step of understanding (the Helios effect) and the final step of the Process Chain of creating the Philosophers Stone, which can turn anything into gold, as well as being an elixir of life.As I did not want to make the Alchemy Beasts all about Black Process - Nigredo I decided to move a major part of its power to the Alchemy Beasts themselves.The reason why I added a control clause is the fact that they would otherwise just turn into an xyz abuse deck similar to the burning abyss archtype.I might later make more different dimension/macro cosmos support, so those would not be standalone, but refer to these cards as existent cards, so that those would be expansions, however I assumed it would make more sense to show those cards on their own. Alchemy Beast - Aretos the Tin (WIND)Level 3 Rock/EffectThis card cannot be Normal Summoned.You can Special Summon this card (from the hand) by controling a face-up card in your Spell/Trap Zone.You can only use the (1) and (3) Effect of "Alchemy Beast - Aretos the Tin" once per turn.(1) During your Main Phase 1, you can reveal this card in your hand; shuffle this card into your deck and then add 1 "Alchemic Kettle Chaos Distill" to your hand.(2) This card can attack your opponent directly.(3) If this card you control is banished: you can banish 1 "Process" card from your deck.500/500 As tin it is usually the basic essence I figured it should have a special importance to the chain of the 4 Process cards, being able to make it faster by being a basic essence. Alchemy Beast - Ekenas the Mercury (WATER)Level 3 Rock/EffectThis card cannot be Normal Summoned.You can Special Summon this card (from the hand) by controling a face-up card in your Spell/Trap Zone.You can only use the (1) and (3) Effect of "Alchemy Beast - Ekenas the Mercury" once per turn.(1) During your Main Phase 1, you can reveal this card in your hand; shuffle this card into your deck and then add 1 "Alchemic Kettle Chaos Distill" to your hand.(2) This card can attack your opponent directly.(3) During the End Phase of the turn this card is banished: you can add 1 "Alchemy Beast" or "Process" card from your deck to your hand.500/500 As mercury is liquid at room temperature I assumed it would make sense to give it a slower effect to show that time is needed (usually if one actually reduces the temperature) to get a solid product (also as the needed summon spell is called mercury hourglass, as a reference to time). Alchemy Beast - Leon the Lead (EARTH)Level 3 Rock/EffectThis card cannot be Normal Summoned.You can Special Summon this card (from the hand) by controling a face-up card in your Spell/Trap Zone.You can only use the (1) and (3) Effect of "Alchemy Beast - Leon the Lead" once per turn.(1) During your Main Phase 1, you can reveal this card in your hand; shuffle this card into your deck and then add 1 "Alchemic Kettle Chaos Distill" to your hand.(2) This card can attack your opponent directly.(3) If this card you control is banished: you can add 1 "Alchemy Beast" monster from your edck to your hand, except "Alchemy Beast - Leon the Lead".500/500 As Leon refers to leo, as well as the fact that both his summon spell card and he himself has lead in his name I figured he should be in a certain way be the leader of the Alchemic Beasts. Alchemy Beast - Moonface the Silver (DARK)Level 3 Rock/EffectThis card cannot be Normal Summoned.You can Special Summon this card (from the hand) by controling a face-up card in your Spell/Trap Zone.You can only use the (1) and (3) Effect of "Alchemy Beast - Moonface the Silver" once per turn.(1) During your Main Phase 1, you can reveal this card in your hand; shuffle this card into your deck and then add 1 "Alchemic Kettle Chaos Distill" to your hand.(2) This card can attack your opponent directly.(3) If this card you control is banished: you can draw 1 card.500/500 As this card looks like the usual card for a draw effect, as well as the fact that its name includes silver I came to the conclusion that it should have the second best typoe of getting a card from the deck into the hand (as that is quite powerful and adding any card is always superior to getting a random card). Alchemy Beast - Ouroboros the Bronze (LIGHT)Level 3 Rock/EffectThis card cannot be Normal Summoned.You can Special Summon this card (from the hand) by controling a face-up card in your Spell/Trap Zone.You can only use the (1) and (3) Effect of "Alchemy Beast - Ouroboros the Bronze" once per turn.(1) During your Main Phase 1, you can reveal this card in your hand; shuffle this card into your deck and then add 1 "Alchemic Kettle Chaos Distill" to your hand.(2) This card can attack your opponent directly.(3) If this card you control is banished: you can add 1 banished "Alchemy Beast" monster to your hand, except "Alchemy Beast - Ouroboros the Bronze".500/500 As the Ouroboros is said to be a perfect being by able to live with everything it already has (re-using it into an endless loop), I came to the conclusion that he should be able to acceess cards which are already in play, turning them into playable cards (I am currently thinking about allowing himself to loop himself, are not adding that as he would then turn into endless tribute material, however would perfectly reflect the design of the ouroboros). Alchemy Beast - Salamandra the Steel (FIRE)Level 3 Rock/EffectThis card cannot be Normal Summoned.You can Special Summon this card (from the hand) by controling a face-up card in your Spell/Trap Zone.You can only use the (1) and (3) Effect of "Alchemy Beast - Salamandra the Steel" once per turn.(1) During your Main Phase 1, you can reveal this card in your hand; shuffle this card into your deck and then add 1 "Alchemic Kettle Chaos Distill" to your hand.(2) This card can attack your opponent directly.(3) If this card you control is banished: you can add 1 "Process" Spell Card from your deck to your hand.500/500 As he reflects both steel and the salamandra, which is sometimes used as a reference for heat I came to the conclusion that his effect should reflect the Process Spell Cards. They went from being absolutely terrible for real life usage to being a probably decent rogue deck. You've addressed what the cards are meant to do and how you came around to those effects. I would say more but I'll edit in or post again actually addressing the cards as typing on a mobile with unpredictable internet isn't really the best for reviewing or long posts. The Highlander Posted July 2, 2015 Author Report Share Posted July 2, 2015 I am currently playing with the though of adding a clause on the alchemy beasts that one would not take battle damage from battles, involving them (or only if they are attacked) to prevent the deck from being OTKed like crazy, with 3 alchemy beasts bujin susanowo would already be enough to OTK.
