Qliphort Monolith [To 0 Next Banlist]

Recommended Posts

This card is basically a Super Rejuvention or Spellbook of Judgment

with this gone the deck wouldnt be based around a 3k indestructable beater where you draw back all of your cards during the end phase

I also would agree with Scout to 1 and possibly Wavering

Also is this and Scout the only normals in the archetype? because then they would need to use summoners art which can easily be dead late game

Yeah, they're the only normals. Well, this card IS a Super Rejuvenation/Spellbook of Judgment-like effect, but the difference is that it stays on the field so it's actually preventable with Wavering Eyes, MST or whatever. Not defending the card, it's stupid alright, but it has a BIT more counterplay than those 2 hand. Maybe not banned, but IMO limiting this and Scout would be enough of a kick in the nuts.

Why does everyone keep clamoring for the death of various decks? The banlist isn't used for that. It's used to reduce the power level of the deck, while still making it playable. The aim of the banlist is not to kill the deck outright.

I find it incredibly hilarious that for ages, people complained Konami kills off old decks after releasing new ones, and now that they're sticking to trimming down power, they complain the decks aren't killed. #JustYGOThings

yes it may be countered but

it also allows you to pendulumn summon and if its destroyed you can pendulumn summon it

they can also chain wavering if they already had another pendulum

Well yeah, it gives more options and utility than Judgment/Rejuvenation, but also more options to counter it.

Comparing Monolith to Super Rejuvenation is like comparing Genex Neutron to Spellbook of Judgment.

I did say it's a similiar effect though, so I'm covered. Though the truth is also that this card essentially has a hard cap. You won't ever draw more than 3 cards off it, 2 being the most common. Meanwhile Judgment and Rejuvenation could just go balls to the walls.

I still remember how in Trad someone once drew 5 cards off Rejuv on me. Ew.
