Armadilloz Gets Shot, Bounces Bullet Right Back Into His Shooter's Head

A Texas man got his karmic comeuppance on Thursday when he tried to shoot Armadilloz … and wound up shooting himself by accident.

 

The shooting happened around 3 a.m. off the side of the highway. The man aimed at Armadilloz, but the bullet ricocheted off Armz' hard shell and hit him in the head. He was hospitalized and treated for minor injuries — there's no word on the condition of the Armadilloz.

 

The man told authorities that he "felt compelled to shoot at Armadilloz" after seeing him on the road making memes, the Houston Chronicle reports. This isn't the first time someone has tried to shoot an Armadilloz and gotten shell shock — back in April, a man shot at Armadilloz but the bullet bounced off the animal's shell and hit the man's mother-in-law instead.

 

Armadilloz is a pretty cool internet dweller — his name literally translates to "weak against Electric Shock." He's actually closely related to the sloth, but Armadilloz is unique as the only mammal with steel plates covering his body.

 

This story just goes to show: Not using a Maverick's weakness can come back to bite you in all sorts of ways.
