U.A. Workout Routine

Continuous spell

 

When a "U.A." monster is returned to hand, place 1 "Workout Counter" on this card(max 3). Once per turn, you can apply 1 of these effects. You can only use the effect of "U.A." Workout Routine" once per turn.

 

Remove 1 counter from this card; All "U.A." Monsters you control gain 200 ATK until the End Phase

 

Remove 2 counters from this card; You can Normal Summon 1 "U.A." Monster without Tributing.

 

Remove 3 counters from this card; You may conduct 2 normal summons this turn, but the second monster must be a "U.A." monster.

 

U.A. Penalty Shot

Spell

 

Target 1 "U.A." monster you control; Only it can attack and it may attack directly.

 

U.A. Halftime Show

Trap

 

Activate only if you control a "U.A." Monster and "U.A. Stadium". You take no battle damage this turn and "U.A." monsters cannot be destroyed by battle.

 

U.A. Ice Burner

Level 4

Light/Warrior

ATK; 1600 def: 1400

 

You can special summon this card by returning 1 "U.A." monster you control to hand. When this card is special summoned, inflict 200 damage to your opponent for every "U.A." monster you control. If this card is in the Graveyard(except during the turn this card is sent to the graveyard): You can banish this card; Special Summon 1 "U.A. Ice Burner" from your Deck.

 

U.A. Superstar Coach

Level 6

Warrior/Light

ATK: 2400 def: 2300

 

You can special summon this card(from your hand) by returning 1 "U.A." monster you control to hand, except "U.A. Superstar Coach". While this card is face-up, all "U.A." monsters you control gain 300 ATK for each face-up "U.A." monster. If this card is returned to hand to Special Summon a "U.A." monster: You can discard it; Draw 1 card.

Warrior/XYZ/Light

Rank 6

2 level 6 "U.A." monsters

ATK: 2400 DEF: 1200

 

You can also XYZ summon this card by using any 2 "U.A." monsters, but 1 of the materials has to be correct. As long as this card has a "U.A." monster attached, other "U.A." monsters cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. Once per turn: You can detach 1 material from this card; Special Summon 1 "U.A." monster from your hand in DEF position.

You realize U.A. are EARTH Attribute, right?

(Unless you intentionally made them LIGHT in this case)

 

Anyway...

 

Workour Routine builds off of U.A.'s tendency to bounce stuff when they SS themselves.

First one isn't much, but second and third ones help to generate stuff from Stadium.

 

2 counters = being able to NS everything except for Midfielder for no Tribute. This really helps considering lack of Level 4s in here.

3 counters = More triggers off of Rebounder + Stadium. Of course, one has to be a U.A. but they don't exactly run non-members, bar for Denko for backrow hate.

Penalty Shot can push for game when needed, especially if you've gotten enough boosts to deal a good amount of damage (Jersey + Stadium boosts).

Suppose you can use Slugger + deal sizable damage if your opponent has backrow out; or Dunker to pop something when he hits opponent.

Halftime Show blocks you from taking damage / being destroyed, although yeah it is dependent on having the field out and a member.

You should be able to have a Stadium on hand though, even if opponent decides to blow it up for some reason (Terraforming or Penalty Box).

Ice Burner is another Level 4 member, which U.A. REALLY need to speed things up; as they have to rely on Midfielder + Stormforth to do much else.

Stats are nice (although they eclipse Midfielder), burns a little bit and can SS another Burner in a similar vein to Penalty Box (banish it, then proceed to SS + plus off of Stadium).

 

Konami really needs to give them another Level 4.

Whatever I said in the 1v1 thread applies here, so not repeating it.

 

And yes, the SSing effect is technically a cost like evilfusion mentioned.

Let's be honest, U.A. don't utilize an Extra Deck a lot of the time, so flavor-wise, it doesn't really fit in here.

However, it is nice that you can use 2 U.A. of any Level (given only Coach, Rebounder and Goalkeeper exist as Level 6 U.A.'s), though you need 1 of them anyway.

 

Targeting immunity is nice, especially when a lot of removal is focused on that nowadays.

 

As for the detach effect, it'll help you trigger Stadium again and/or get out a high-Level U.A. in your hand (if lack of Midfielder or another Main Deck).
