Pendulum Effect:You cannot Summon or Set monsters except Reptile-Type monsters. While you control a face-up Field Spell, your opponent cannot activate card effects during the Damage Step.

 

Monster Effect:When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Reptile-Type monster from your Graveyard. When this card is Special Summoned: You can add 1 Reptile-Type monster from your Graveyard to your hand. You can only activate each of the effects of "Tropical Lamia" once per turn.

I'm going to analyze how useful this is.

 

Low scale is really nice, though low level reptiles tend to either like being set or summoned through other ways (See: Evoltiles, Alien Grey/Dog, Worms). It does have a certain synergy with Tsuchinoko, but eh. I would have personally preferred a high scale so you can use it with Partnaga to summon Level 4s and Vennominion. I mean, there aren't many Reptile Pendulums to work with, but still.

 

The Pendulum is...interesting? It seems pretty specific, and while 2 reptile archetypes do have field spells, neither of them really use them in all fairness. Plus, only disabling effects in the damage step is pretty...whatever.

 

It's monster effects are very good, though. Instantly getting a rank 4 on normal summon is super useful for King of Feral Imps, and the Special Summon effect can be useful, especially since it can add things of any level. The attribute is really cool too, since it makes a bigger Abyss Dweller.

 

Unfortunately, the 0 DEF is useless since it's a pendulum (Would have been Masked Chameleon synergy, which is totally nonexistant in reptiles outside of 4 monsters otherwise), but whatever I guess.

 

Overall it's pretty good, but unfortunately, nothing that'd really boost reptile decks too much (Then again, there's very little that can, considering the only good or decent cards are in archetypes...)
